After drinking a bottle of wine, Harper tells her business rival that she recently got engaged. Once the hangover wears off, Harper realizes she now needs a fake fiancé or to admit she lied. Wanting to avoid the backlash, she asks her childhood best friend for a favor.

Ethan Bishop will do anything for Harper, even if it’s crazy and means risking his heart. Pretending to be engaged to the woman he’s always loved proves to be difficult—especially when repressed feelings bubble to the surface.

It’s hard to know what’s real or fake when their private moments turn intimate. When they cross the line and fall between the sheets, the truth is undeniable.
Just as they feared, their friendship’s no longer the same. However, one thing’s certain—there’s no going back now.
**Kissing the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be read without reading any of the other books or spin-off series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.**

My Thoughts:
Don’t skip the Prologue because our authors use it to set up their story. Then they start the first chapter off with a chuckle. What’s nice is that the laughs don’t stop there.
Ethan is a very busy man who still has time for friends and family. Harper lets what others think get to her. We get to see two people who have known each other for a while start to realize that their feelings are changing from friends to something more. Theirs is a story that could be seen in the real world. That includes showing how some things aren’t easy. They also do a good job at creating secondary characters that you want to hate and hope that karma comes to visit them - sooner rather than later.
Our authors have a way of creating something that you can get lost in. They make it easy to feel as if you are a part of the group around the Bishop family. There wasn’t one of that family that I didn’t like. Even the grandmother seemed so real – almost like my own. Even as our couple tries to navigate through everything to work toward some type of conclusion you just can’t look away. If you do, you might miss something important. And that conclusion they’re working toward – so worth it. It just may leave a smile on your face.
Ethan and Harper’s story can be read as a standalone. We see other members of Ethan’s family but you don’t need to read their stories in order to enjoy this current book. If you like rom-coms with a slight western twist then you will want to check out this book - or any books in the Circle B Ranch series.
