About Falling for the Rockstar:

Arrogant. Delinquent. Hot as sin.

All words that describe Simon Ashton, lead singer and major pain in the ass. His talent is out of this world—hints the arrogance. But if he doesn't clean up his act soon, he may find himself reliving the glory days from the discomfort of an empty mansion.

That's where I come in. Myka Johnson, PR rep to some of the industries hottest artist. I get results and make a lot of money doing it. So when Meteor Records hired me to work my magic on Osiris's leading man, I jumped at the chance.

There's only one problem—no one told be the job include falling for the Rockstar.

My Thoughts:

Myka is a woman who is good at her job.  She is there to make sure that the people she deals with come out better than when they first meet.  Simon acts like he doesn’t have a care in the world.  He’s one of those typical bad boys that just hasn’t met the right woman yet.

I liked the premise of the story but have read similar stories.  The author had me feeling sorry, at times, for Myka.  She seemed to be a very intelligent woman except when it came to her personal life.  Simon seemed to be the typical rocker bad boy.  My disappointment was not being able to listen to his group’s music.

It was hard getting into our main characters interactions.  Again, it’s things I have read before.  I liked them as individuals but it was hard once they were interacting with each other.  Our author was very good in creating a secondary character that was close to Myka.  I kept shaking my head and wanting to yell at her that she was missing something important.

Since this is the first book in the series, we get some introduction to the other members of the band.  I’m interested to see where the author will be taking her readers and if that will include Myka as well as some of her staff.  I did like how the author was doing her spin on a work-related relationship and all the ups and downs that can occur.  But it was really tough seeing that relationship working.  Probably because I had a hard time visualizing that this leopard was going to change his spots.  Plus, it’s a hard industry to have anything lasting happen.  There’s turmoil through a lot of the story and that’s what kept me reading until the very end.  So I’m not willing to give up after one book and will see how this series is going to progress.

About ML Preston:

ML Preston, was born and raised in Oklahoma City. An avid and voracious reader, she was encouraged to nurture her active imagination and quickly found a passion for storytelling. She spins sagas of passion and romance where the lines between race and creed, physical perfection and social norms disappear in the face of love. Novels of real love; erotic connections with a heart and soul that everyone can relate. She makes a home in Texas with her husband and three children, who keep her grounded when the voices call on her to tell their story. And they never stop calling.
