My Thoughts:

Knox seems to be way too cocky for his own good. Hadleigh gets the shock of her life. We hear their two voices throughout the book. There’s a third character that is important to them but most of our impressions are through their eyes. It took me a while to understand why but that was a good thing. 

 

This is a standalone and that’s good for you. It gives you a chance to experience this ranch as a newcomer or as a fan. We don’t think of those that live outside our little place in the world – other than what we hear in the news. Books like this give us the fantasy of what others lives might be like. Sometimes there are authors that comes along that even have you wishing that you could visit the place they are writing about.  

Our authors made it very easy to get lost in their world. Once I got started, it was very hard to put the book down. Hadleigh made a choice that some may not feel comfortable with but just give this a chance. The authors didn’t create any scenes that seem forced or unbelievable. Love develops over time and this came through to the benefit of our main characters. But there was that third person that left me wanting to see his happily ever after and I will get that chance very soon.

My Thoughts:

Grayson can’t seem to figure out what the problem is.  Mackenzie knows how to hold a grudge.  When you first meet the main characters you may not understand where the title came from.  You just have to be patient.  Our authors will reveal all once the time is right. 

 

I love the twists that the authors came up with.  They just know what is going to keep their reader’s attention.  These ladies are like magicians in that they always seem to pull the right things out of their hats.  It’s a story that you’ll have not trouble relaxing to.  I miss not having a farm close by because I could see going down with a picnic lunch and just sit there and read this book.   

 

They make it very easy for me to look forward to their next book – part of this series or not.  I’m a tough cookie when it comes to getting me to laugh.  M. Fox has no trouble in that department – or at the very least I can’t help but let out a chuckle.  Loved reading scenes that might feel awkward to some.  You can almost feel the connection they created for the main characters. And that connection has extra room – it was like giving me extra frosting on a piece of cake.  I get a real sense of a very loving family.  And I hope you will love the ending bonus as much as I did.
