My Thoughts:

If you want to learn about the author, make sure to read her Acknowledgments.  Also, if you're interested, she has created a playlist.  Lastly, she's created a warning that you need to pay attention to.

Blaze had to learn how to grow up fast.  He's recently developed a plan and it will be interesting to see what author has in store.  Raven has a moment where she's in a scene from a movie.  I never had any interest in watching it.  Now, I may have to see it so that I may be able to find what she was referencing to.

What I liked was how the author shows how two people can see things differently.  She made it very easy to picture each scene as it plays out so make sure to remember her warning.  She created an "oh no" moment and that's the point at which this story became a page-turner.

With hot and humid days why not find a cool place to sit and read her latest work.  But this is not all about the heat our main characters create when they are together.  We have a little suspense, a royal pain secondary character, and a family dynamic that seems to work.  I was very glad that I read this book but also disappointed with myself.  Disappointed that I've missed the first two books but I quickly put them on my TBR list.

The author has written this book so that it could be read as a standalone but if you're like me you will want to go back and find out what you missed.  Now that I'm hooked, I'll try and be careful to keep my eyes open for the next book.  And if you also like this one, you may want to go and see what else she has to offer with some of her other series.
