#Review: A Demon's Harmony by E.C. Land; #ReleaseBlitz, #NowAvailable, #OutNow, #TBR, #Live

Book cover for A Demon’s Harmony: A Devil’s Riot MC Crossover (Dark Lullabies Book 2) by E.C. Land

Rating:  4.5 Stars
Told in the first person.  Alternating persons.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book for review from BookSprouts and the author. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am posting this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising".

My Thoughts:

Alexis’ heart hurts but it’s from a misunderstanding. You’ll get a real sense of the internal struggle she’s dealing with. She’s one of those characters that you want to sit down and have a frank discussion. Tanner is a great reminder that it’s the inside of a person that matters the most. He’s going to go after what his heart wants.

I like that the author chose to write this story in the first person. Their thoughts have a voice – it's almost like eavesdropping. She could have left it where we see a couple trying to work at a second chance and be happy. But, then she adds in something that will have you wondering “what the heck?” Of course, I’m terrible with mysteries and this author proved me right. Never saw that coming but that’s what makes her good at her job and me a reader. The author already has things figured out and I just have to follow wherever she takes me.

You’ll find that there’s a connection to one of our author’s other series so we may find our plates have gotten a little full – unless you’re up-to-date on all her books. I have to say that I’m kind of glad that I’m not because it just gives me more of her work to discover. I’ve already decided that I have to read this again but one thing I will do differently will be to play music in the background.

#Review: Chains' Trust by E.C. Land; #NowAvailable, #OutNow, #TBR, #Live

My Thoughts:

As always please pay attention to the author’s trigger warnings. With this book our author will also include a timeline note. She mentions a book that if you haven’t read yet, and since you wouldn’t have started this one yet, go back and read that book first.

Chains is a man who gets things done. Tiny is a little gunshy with good reason. These two couldn’t be more opposite. There was something there though that they can’t ignore. And you won’t be able to ignore their story either. You’ll find that once you start, you won’t stop - before the day is out you’ll find that you finished the book.

I just recently got hooked on this author’s work and have a lot of catching up to do. Even though there are different series, I'm finding that some of her characters appear/will appear elsewhere. That just means that for my foreseeable future I have a lot of books to check out. These two characters are just one reason – wanting to find the books where they may have made an appearance.

With this being such a short story, I’ve found that I want more. I find that Chains has a sister. Now I want to know what her story is. So as soon as I can, I will have to check out Owning Victoria. And don’t get me started on other people I’ve met here. As for the ending, wait until you get there – it will leave you on pins and needles.

#Review: Blaze's Mark by E.C. Land; #ReleaseBlitz, #NowAvailable, #OutNow, #TBR, #Live

Rating:  4.5 Stars
Told in the first person.  Alternating persons.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book for review from the author. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. My Thoughts:

If you want to learn about the author, make sure to read her Acknowledgments.  Also, if you're interested, she has created a playlist.  Lastly, she's created a warning that you need to pay attention to.

Blaze had to learn how to grow up fast.  He's recently developed a plan and it will be interesting to see what author has in store.  Raven has a moment where she's in a scene from a movie.  I never had any interest in watching it.  Now, I may have to see it so that I may be able to find what she was referencing to.

What I liked was how the author shows how two people can see things differently.  She made it very easy to picture each scene as it plays out so make sure to remember her warning.  She created an "oh no" moment and that's the point at which this story became a page-turner.

With hot and humid days why not find a cool place to sit and read her latest work.  But this is not all about the heat our main characters create when they are together.  We have a little suspense, a royal pain secondary character, and a family dynamic that seems to work.  I was very glad that I read this book but also disappointed with myself.  Disappointed that I've missed the first two books but I quickly put them on my TBR list.

The author has written this book so that it could be read as a standalone but if you're like me you will want to go back and find out what you missed.  Now that I'm hooked, I'll try and be careful to keep my eyes open for the next book.  And if you also like this one, you may want to go and see what else she has to offer with some of her other series.

Scorch

I was born with a heart filled with love, only to be reborn as Scorch when that heart was incinerated. The only thing that runs through my veins now is hatred, and it’s never going to change. I shut out all my emotions a long time ago and I’ll be damned if I’ll release them ever again. Not even for her.

Like the treacherous winds of a hurricane, she invaded my life. But, it’s not the first time she's done this. Although, this time it’s different. My club and I are the only ones who can help her father bring down a common enemy.

I'll help her father for a price, but I won't ever allow myself to feel something for her ever again. That bridge was literally ripped from the ground by the cyclone of chaos that summer.

In this life, it’s kill or be killed and I’m not about to die. Scorch is my name and I’ll fuck anyone up who tries to cross me.

My Thoughts:

Sorch’s life has changed forever.  Emery knows how to survive working in the family business.  Our author has created a man who seems bad to the bone but she shows that he does have a heart.

What makes this a nonstop read is the suspense that builds from the time our main characters see each other.  There will be times where you will need to remember the author’s warning at the beginning of the book – in case you skipped over without reading.  If you can get past that, the authors gives us plenty of twists and turns, plenty of heat and lots of emotion.

Was there a happy ending?  No.  Was there a cliffhanger?  Yes.  And I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.  It’s a quick read so I can see reading this again especially as I immerse myself into the Royal Bastards MC world.
