My Thoughts:

Alyssa has done something she’s not very proud of. Luca is not happy with what has transpired. If you like your mafia romances dark then you may want to check this one out. If you have a squeamish stomach just be mindful that I did say dark. And also be mindful of what Luca’s profession is. Then we have an age difference – if that’s an issue for you. If you’ve never read this author before, this could be a good place to start or you can check out some of her other work.

My first introduction to Ms. Dukey was from another series of hers. Now, I can’t seem to get enough. She always keeps me guessing. I have to let her guide me through her story because if I try and figure out where she’s going, I would get totally lost. Proof of that would be a couple of her secondary characters were a surprise that I never saw coming.

Going into this, I thought maybe this would be a series. As I kept reading, I still had that feeling. But when I got to the ending, my mind was split. Are we going to get more? Is her ending just going to leave me hanging? In the long run, it doesn’t really matter because I’m already looking forward to whatever she has coming out next.
