Blurb:

The good news is, I’m out of exile and I have the woman I love by my side. And I still have my crown, tarnished though it may be.

The bad news is…all of that is temporary.

There are those that want me as far away from the crown as possible. I still have a killer on my tail who has a more permanent solution in mind. Oh and there’s the small matter of all the secrets I’m keeping from Ariel.

For her I risked it all, but will she wind up paying the price?

Once she knows my secrets. What will she do to protect me and the crown?

What will I be willing to do to protect her?

The answer is: everything.

My Thoughts:

Tristan Winston starts us off where Return of the Prince left off. Ariel Scott is looking for some reassurance. Sebastian and his wife, Penny, play an important role in this book – and we’re lucky enough to get to hear their point of view. In the previous book, Ella had somewhat of a role but in this book she gives me that “I will not be ignored” vibe.

If you still haven’t had a chance to read Sebastian and Penny’s story, I’m going to suggest you start there first. Otherwise, it may seem as if you’re reading toward the end of their story and if you like/love this author you know you’re going to have a good time catching up.

I loved the suspense here. It kept my attention and had me wanting to know how things were going to turn out. There was a man here who seemed to have something against Tristan. I wanted to see if the man got any answers but I can say for certainty that he was not a likeable fellow. Ariel still shows how impressive she can be when it comes to her job. For me it was all the suspense that drew me in but watching our couples trying to have a life while all that was going on is what kept me turning the page. Then we have an ending that left me wondering if I just witnessed the beginning of the next series.

Author Bio:

USA Today Bestselling Author, NANA MALONE’s love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she borrowed from her cousin on a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana at a precocious thirteen. She’s been in love with kick butt heroines ever since.

With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters. Waiting for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, Nana, meantime works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is.

The books in her series have been on multiple Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble best seller lists as well as the iTunes Breakout Books
list and most notably the USA Today Bestseller list.

Until that ninja job comes through, you’ll find Nana working hard on additional books for her series as well as other fun, sassy romances for characters that won’t leave her alone. And if she’s not working or hiding in the closet reading, she’s acting out scenes for her husband, daughter and puppy in sunny San Diego.
