My Thoughts:

Nick shows you can be friends with the opposite sex.  But is that a good thing?  Trixie wants a chance at something she shouldn’t.  But would it be safer to just concentrate on her dream?

The author has a way of getting her readers so involved in what she writes.  It’s very easy to picture her characters as family, neighbors, friends, or even loved ones.  It was interesting to see two characters that seemed to have the same feelings but to see them from different perspectives.  

This is a story that takes place in horse country.  It had me missing the days when there was a small farm at the end of my street and when I would do my paper route, I would stop to feed their horse and get in a couple of rubs.  It’s winter where I live now but if you drive around where some of the farms are, you can still see the horses sometimes and they had me think about this story.

One thing that you can take bets on is that our author will get us to laugh.  Sometimes it’s at someone else’s expense but nowadays you’ll take a laugh wherever you can get it. And when a character finally smartens up you say “about time”.  Sometimes they frustrate you because they have a very hard time taking hints.  Sometimes you want to have a certain character in front of you so that you can give them a piece of your mind.  Or if they’re not looking, a swift kick in the shin.  

Ms. Foster’s stories are so easy to get lost in that you don’t want them to end.  But if they didn’t end then you wouldn’t be able to read the next book coming out.  One last thing this author does for me is that she always leaves me with both a happy ending and a smile on my face.
