Damien believes in protecting what he deems as his. Yelena may not realize it but she has poked the bear. That is when the fun begins. It was fun to watch how frustrated Damien was with Yelena. You’ll quickly realize that this is a book that you’ll feel the need to finish in one sitting.
Don’t think about starting this series here. The main characters from the first book become secondary ones here. This starts almost the same way as Savage Vow but in this case it is from Yelena’s point of view and Damien’s actions. There’s no mistaking the instant heat these two have but you’ll have to think of it as a slow burn because it will take a while for that heat to combust.
We get a lot of action that really moves the story along. If I were in the story with Damien and Yelena, I think I would be exhausted from all their bouncing around. The story is punishing too because there’s a lot of teasing going on. That’s just one reason why you’ll not want to stop until you get to the very end. Although if I could, I might try to read both books simultaneously. That would be a true adventure. Just like with the first book, I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for her readers next.
