Chelsea Novak is the kind of fire I should stay away from.
She’s also the only kind of fire I’ve ever craved.
Instead of extinguishing her from my life, I’ve thrown gasoline.
Now we’re burning hotter and too fucking bright.
Stolen moments when we shouldn’t.
Forbidden nights that are never enough.
Illicit seconds for one more taste.
I’m taking everything I want.
Everything that isn’t mine.B
The heat is blinding, making us take risks that will destroy us.
Because this love 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 destroy us.
It will consume us. Ravage us. Ruin us.
Chelsea Novak is fire.
And I’m a man ready to burn for the one woman I can never make mine.

A brand new full length standalone forbidden romance novel in the original Storm MC series.

** Gunnar is written as a standalone. You do not have to read the rest of the books in the series to read this book. **

My Thoughts:

If you like to read a book while listening to music, the author has included a Playlist for her readers.  There is no trigger warning associated with this book but just be careful if you have issues with physical and/or emotional abuse.

Gunnar uses the Prologue to give the reader some background history.  Or should I say the author – so no skipping ahead.  Chelsea doesn’t have a clue about some things.  But maybe that’s a coping mechanism.  There are two secondary characters you will come to hate pretty quickly but they are important to the storyline so we need to see how things will work out.

There’s plenty of heated emotions and shady behavior that will keep you riveted.  There are points where you will feel pity.  You might even feel sadness in how some men feel they have a right to treat women a certain way.  If you have strong feelings on this issue, it may get you thinking about how you can go about helping women who may be in similar situations.  That’s one good thing about a fiction book.  Even though a story may not be real, it may seem as if part of it is based on fact.  It may get your mind to thinking – maybe how you would handle the situation.  Or what small way you could help women in your area – even in these troubling times.

With this book it was less about the MC and more about our main characters.  With a work of fiction, creativity is always front and center since it’s all based on imagination.  I know what I can and cannot do and writing a book is one of them.  That’s where my love of books come in.  I get to reap the rewards of all the hard work I’m positive goes into creating a story or even a series.  You could read this book as a standalone but hopefully this will give you a push to read any books you may have missed.  If you’re one that has a reading list, know that there’s another book coming in the series sometime this year.
