Cheryl can change her attitude on a dime. Demon is good at what he does – if he does say so himself. Expect to see plenty of steam heat with this pair. Their story may be a trigger for some based on a connection these two have.
Sometimes I don’t quite understand the place some women have in the Club. maybe it’s because I’m too independent and not afraid to talk back. Sometimes that is what fiction does. We know it’s not real but the author does such a great job in creating her characters that you have to wonder. Plus, if you watch some of the crime shows that are out there, this story would fit right in.
Our author knows just the right moment to turn the heat into an inferno and knows when to dial it back a bit – think I might need some aloe vera for my face. She also knows when to make me angry and what is needed to bring a tear to my eye. Her story also made me mad that I missed reading the first book in her series and will have to rectify that rather quickly.
This is a short story that is over before you know it. It’s one that left me feeling like their story isn’t over yet. Like an old friend, I hope there’s a chance we’ll “meet” again. And I look forward to getting reacquainted.
