BLURB:

Florence Harris thought if she ever fell in love it would be with someone sweet, dependable, boring.
Nope.
Turns out she likes arrogant, annoying, ego so big it wouldn’t fit in the ocean Eli Lennox.
Just because he saved her life he thinks it gives him permission to meddle in it. He’s determined to save her from herself.
Problem is she thinks she’s beyond saving.

She’s beautiful, intelligent, and the sexiest woman Eli had ever laid eyes on, and she turns him down flat when he asks her out.
That doesn’t happen to him often.
Or ever.
And it makes him determined to prove to her she’s worth every ounce of effort he’s going to put into winning her heart.
Eli Lennox always gets what he wants.

My Thoughts:

Florence is hard at work.  She has a mystery to solve and has taken us along.  Eli is looking for something but will it be unattainable?  If you’ve been following this series, you may end up finding a new author, one you’ve recently found, or getting reacquainted with one you’ve been following for a while.

This author is good at giving me what I want.  I like a book that easily grabs my attention.  I like having two characters that seem to be at opposite ends of the couple scale.  Eli reminds me of Eddie Haskell.  He may seem to grate on your nerves but slowly will worm his way into your heart.  Florence seems to be a woman who is very focused on her job and doesn’t like any distractions that will stop her from her goal.  Lastly, I like a book that makes it easy to forget about everything else but what I’m imagining as I read the story.

Loved the suspense aspect and part of that was due to the fact that our author gives an unknown character a voice.  When starting the book the big question I had was “why?” and once you ask a question, you need to discover the answer.  We also get to learn about who are main characters are.  We get to see a romance build from the time these two meet until the point of conclusion for both the mystery and what happens in their relationship. There’s actually one more thing I like about this book.  Our author uses it to introduce her readers to a new series.  Your library just may expand a little.
