Megan Simmons followed her entire Army unit into space as volunteers to protect Earth as members of the Coalition Fleet. Eighteen months later, on a Hive controlled planet, she is separated from her unit and trapped. She is certain death will have its day until an Atlan Warlord appears from nowhere and risks his life to save her. Lost and alone behind enemy lines, Megan will do anything to keep her sexy savior alive until one problem arises, and this one she can't fight her way out of. Despite the danger, her Atlan Warlord's beast takes one look at her and decides she belongs to him.
Nyko of Atlan never hesitates to charge into battle against Hive scum. When he sees a human soldier in trouble, he follows routine, ripping his enemies to shreds to save a fellow warrior. But when that warrior turns out to be a beautiful and curvy human female, the beast he's been fighting suddenly breaks free with just one simple demand...MINE.

My Thoughts:
Megan Simmons makes you think
that just because she’s a warrior she can’t be a woman. If I were ever backed into a corner, I would
want her to come to my rescue. Warlord
Nyko is very alpha male; take no prisoners, kind of guy. Think hot and sexy Star Trek. It’s interesting
to watch two people with strong personalities find their way through a
relationship.
This author impressed me by
taking into consideration any language barriers – made the story seem more
believable. Depending on how graphic you
love your sex scenes, some things are not quite as descriptive as others. Some will have you wondering about other
types of differences besides language.
But you have to remember that with a paranormal or fantasy, it all comes
from the author’s imagination. It’s kind
of hard to reference something that only exists in the mind of the person
writing the story.
So as a reader, you have to try
and not compare the story to our reality.
This is a world that the author is creating from scratch. It’s a story to sit back, relax, and enjoy it
for what it is. Just appreciate
something that the author has taken the time to create for your entertainment. Ms. Goodwin even includes characters from one
of her previous books. It’s a great
reason to go back and read Mated To The
Beast. That is if you want to know
more about Sarah Mills and Dax. The only
thing the story didn’t do was give me a peek at what’s next – just means it
will be a surprise.
Guest Post - Grace Goodwin:
I’m a huge music fan, and I love Top 5 Lists. So, I hit google to bring you all something worthy and interesting. First – the Top 5 bestselling musicians of all time. And then, my personal Top 5 Favorite songs that play in my ears while I’m writing. Here we go…

2 Stiches by Shawn Mendes
3 Chandelier by Sia
4 Scars to Your Beautiful by Alessia Cara
5 She Used to be Mine by Sarah Bareilles
So, yeah, I listen to Sia and write outer space, smoking hot romance. What do you think she’s say about inspiring me to write hot Prillon Warriors, or Atlan Beasts in another galaxy? I don’t know. But I think it’s pretty darn cool. I’m a writer, not a musician, but I’m really glad there are people who can sing more than 5 notes. (I’m just not one of them!)
I hope you enjoy my hot Atlan Beast and his need to find his mate. Mating Fever…that sounds like a hit song! I’m off to write Sia now. ;)

About Grace Goodwin:
Once upon a time, a young girl was born into an average, working class family. The wee little girl, convinced she was not an average child but was, in fact, a fairy princess, longed to leave the mundane world behind and live her dreams. She grew up, went to school, and when she'd grown too big to wear tutus and tiaras in public without drawing unwanted attention, turned to writing down her fantasies instead.
Now a bit older, her fantasies have grown to include sexually dominant men who know how to ensure a woman's pleasure. Grace believes all women should be treated like princesses, in the bedroom and out of it, and writes love stories where men know how to make their women feel pampered, protected and very well taken care of.
She currently lives in Oregon where she spends her days writing, and her nights in the arms of her very own Prince.
