BLURB:

Dear Chelsea,

I know what you must think of me now that my secret is out, and I can’t say I’m not disappointed. I bloody loved that you saw me as someone other than the bloke my entire country has deemed unworthy of love. Maybe I am, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting you as desperately as I do.

Before you toss this letter in the rubbish bin, just hear me out.

Soon, I’ll need to return home to face the critics—the harsh reminder of the man they all believe me to be, the Forever Bachelor—and you’ll continue to live out your dreams here while nannying the twins. Simon and Bridget are so very lucky to have you.

All I ask is for one night with you, one night to remove the facade we’ve exhibited for the past two weeks to mask our true feelings.

Because I want you, Chelsea Banks, more than I’ve wanted any woman in my entire life, and I dare to imagine that you might just want me too. Even if just for one night.

Liam

My Thoughts:

The author gives readers an interesting way to introduce her main characters.  Make sure not to bypass.

Chelsea knows what it takes to stop an uncomfortable conversation.  Liam shows how well he fits into this series.  Both were interesting characters to get to know.  There are moments that will be hard not to laugh at.

At the beginning, the author wrote something that had me scratching my head but it took Liam for the light bulb to go on.  The reference didn’t dawn on me since I don’t watch her reference.  It wasn’t hard to figure it out – I was just a little slow.

What I did like was the building of the relationship, once it got started.  I also liked that it took part in my neck of the woods.  It was  a great reminder how much exploring I still have to do in that state.  Having Chelsea as my guide made it a fun way to do exploring at this time.  I’m looking forward to the time when things get back to normal and taking this book with me.  It’s too early yet but I can see this as a great beach read.

Since I’m an American, I don’t do a British accent very well so I look forward to seeing if the audio version of this book will take care of that for me.  I think just hearing what Liam should sound like will help me to understand him better.  It’s a story that got me to relax because any type of relationship develops over time.  Something came up in the Epilogue that caused me to frown.  The only reason I frowned was because I just couldn’t picture it.  My mind just couldn’t give that to me.  The story did leave me wanting more.
