New Orleans belongs to me.
You don’t know my name, but I control everything you see—and all the things you don’t.
My reach knows no bounds, and my demands are always met.
I didn’t need to loan money to a failing family distillery, but it amuses me to have them in my debt.
To have her in my debt.
She doesn’t know she caught my attention.
She should’ve been more careful.
I’m going to own her. Consume her. Maybe even keep her.
It’s time to collect what I’m owed.
Keira Kilgore, you’re now the property of Lachlan Mount.
*Ruthless King is book one of the Mount Trilogy*

My Thoughts:
Keira Kilgore is a woman who is trying to save the family’s
legacy. But then she comes across a road
block and his name is Lachlan Mount.
Lachlan is a force to be reckoned with.
This book is more edgy than the previous books that I’ve read by this
author. She’s created an interesting cat
and mouse game that is shrouded in mystery and intrigue – or maybe it’s a game
of shark versus guppy.
I know that some people don’t like reading a story told in the first
person but you miss out on seeing their thoughts and I think that’s needed here
since Mount keeps everything close to his chest and he’s a hard man to figure
out. As you see here, telling this story
in the first person is an important part because you get it told from the
character’s perspective.
Be prepared to have an ending that’s high with anticipation. It gives you that “I wasn’t expecting that”
moment. I didn’t feel that there was an
actual ending to this story but more of a beginning into the next chapter of
Keira’s tale. We have a power play going
on between people who seem to be polar opposites and it will be interesting to
see who finally ends on top – a winner maybe?
If nothing else this trilogy looks to be a sexually charged ride from
beginning to end.
Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She's also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she's ever had. She loves hearing from her readers at meghanmarchbooks@gmail.com.
