My Thoughts:
Dawson Trudeau is an example of a set of twins who couldn’t be more
opposite. Lacey Brooks is the woman
behind the man. But it’s Dawson that
keeps both her, and us, entertained – so be prepare to laugh. Our author was smart because she sneaks in an
“aw” moment. Plus she gives us romantic
moments.
Because this is such a short story it seems like the heat between these
two is almost instantaneous. You don’t
see too much of Dawson’s brother which is a good thing because this lets his
character shine. But it also left me with
questions as to his journey to Alaska and his life before meeting Lacey. And that was something in that I didn’t want
to know more about Lacey’s background – felt I already had enough information
to understand her character. With Dawson
I just didn’t feel that.
Dawson may be ex-military but once a soldier always a soldier which if
you read this book you will understand.
I certainly wasn’t ready for the ending because it just came too
quickly. But it left me wondering about
the patriarch of the family. And since
this is a duet we get a second chance at the King brothers and maybe some
answers. Can’t wait to see where this
author takes us.

Or was Dawson dangerous? A criminal? He certainly looked like it. His icy blue gaze roamed her body as if he owned it, reminding her of Aaron right before he was about to close a deal—a predator. Not a like shark, for they attack on instinct. This was more like a wolf, toying with his prey before sinking his teeth into the neck of its dinner.
“Lacey, I’d like you to meet my long lost brother, Dawson.”
“I look forward to working with you, darling.”
Darling? Ugh.
The physical makeover would be the easy part. Taming the he-man into a sophisticated owner of a billion dollar corporation in a day would be impossible.
