My Thoughts:
Jeni is trying to let go of the past. It was nice to see that so many people care about her. Aiden seems to make quite the impression. He knows how to take advantage of a situation too.
Part of what I liked about this story was the author gives us a sense of realism when we get to see Jeni’s insecurities. She becomes our narrator of sorts. All our impressions are through her eyes. The author created a scene that will make you sit up and take notice – me, I wanted to be a fly on the wall.
All I’m going to say on the matter is that the author gives us two alpha males with their females. It’s best enjoyed first hand. Besides being creative, our author can be very sneaky. She took a very funny moment and turned into something serious and awkward. Then on top of that, she starts to build some suspense that left me saying “no, no” and “you can’t do this to me”. Sad news is that this book went by so quickly. Once you get sucked into their world, you can’t seem to stop. Good news is that there’s another book coming so there’s no way I can stop this series at the first book.
