Henry leads a very busy and intense life. Laila is frustrated with how things are turning out. I found myself looking forward to the adventure this author is taking me on. It started the moment our main characters meet. I cheated a little. I looked to see who the narrators were for the audio version and now I can’t wait to hear them put a voice to Henry and Laila.
Because this is a read that goes by quickly, since you won’t be able to stop, it will be perfect for your own road trip or for the beach. This is a very hot read and since we’re having a heatwave where I live, having a fan right now is a good thing. My only disappointment was how quickly the road trip was over but reading the book again will help with that.
There is an age-gap and for some it may be something you’re not into. You just need to remember that this is a work of fiction. For me, it didn’t make any difference on my enjoyment. It was a fun read that I got done in just a matter of hours. If you like romantic endings, the author has created a great one. Now I’m left looking forward to see what our author has in store for her readers next.
Sara Cate writes steamy contemporary romance with high stakes and big feels. She has a soft spot for forbidden romance, age gap, lots of angst, and boys so bad you can't help but love them.
