Valerius must fulfill certain requirements in order to get what he wants. I’ll tell you a secret, he has a soft side. Adaliya isn’t thrilled about what the future has in store for her. She’ll face it kicking and screaming. Can Valerius be her knight in shining armor hiding behind a rough exterior?
The author knows how to create heat between her main characters. She takes two people that come from two totally different worlds and shows that opposites do attract. It’s not long before I was sucked into their world that everything around me seemed to melt away. It was a great way to forget about the stress of my workday.
If you’re a fan of mafia romance, this might be a story to check out. How about having a past that doesn’t seem to go away? How about hidden tension between main characters learning to be a couple? Or maybe having a female character, even though she has issues from her past, she might be able to find a happy ending. Then there’s the male character who seems to have found what he wasn’t expecting.
Suspense surprises me so close to the ending that it has me happily waiting to see what the author has in store for book two.
