Mel has a friend who likes to talk her into things she seems to regret. Colton seems to be the calming force she needs. For me, the title didn’t seem to match the story I was reading. I thought it would be more spicy, more wicked. If you are a reader who likes scenes that are left to your imagination, then this may be something for you to check out.
Mel has issues that I kept wondering why she didn’t seek some professional help. There were times that I felt sorry for Colton and thought he could do better. Their story is only told from Mel’s point of view, so we only saw what she was seeing when it came to Colton. Other times, I wondered if it wouldn’t be better to find out more about her friend’s life.
There were times when things seemed to be moving at a normal pace for our couple but then a few times where the scenes seemed to be rushed and left me wondering if I missed anything. Maybe it had something to do with her past. Maybe it’s because I wanted to read Colton’s point of view. Then the story seemed to end abruptly.
