Carter

A blonde, a brunette, a redhead…he can have his pick of them all on any given night and he knows it. They wait, hoping he looks up and gives them his signature smirk, choosing them over the others because that’s his game.

Except now he's signed the contract of a lifetime, one with a pesky little clause that says his zipper must stay up and his playboy image has got to tamp down. It'll be fine—a piece of cake, even—he can do this and he’s almost convinced himself of that … and then she walks in the room

The new PR girl whom they’ve hired to change his image, she's the star of all his dreams, but there’s one tiny little problem …  she can't stand him and all of his player ways.

He knows he only has thirty days to show her why they call him Hollywood’s Prince. He’s up for the challenge, so game on.

My Thoughts:

Erin has gotten the chance of a lifetime but it comes with a catch. Carter Johnson seems to be larger than life. Maybe it’s because I had other interests growing up but I don’t see the fascination of following an actor on social media. I know that it helps with their persona and increases their fan base but to me it seems more like an invasion of privacy.

I can see where Erin has her work cut out for her. Carter on the other hand has me think prima donna. Who better to create a persona than an actor – give them what they want so people won’t see how vulnerable you may be. In Carter’s favor it was nice to see him open up to Erin. It made him seem more human and not larger than life.

Having this story told in the first person was a plus for me. This way I got to see things through our characters eyes and get their impressions of everything that’s going on as opposed to getting a third person narration. I loved the ups and downs when it came to their emotions – kept everything off-kilter and me turning the page. Also wanted to see if Carter was up to the challenge that was set before him. Erin was the kick in the pants that he needed, which led to their perfect ending. Even though this may be the end of this series, this just left me looking forward to the next book that this author will create for her readers.

About the author:

When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
