What’s a girl to do after being ditched at the altar by text message? That’s right. Text. Message.
How does she pick up the pieces and move on? I’m no Dear Abby but here’s a little free advice…
Advice #1 – First, purge your apartment of all things him—by tossing his belongings off the balcony.
Advice #2 – Do not, I repeat do not, throw anything out into the hallway because you’ll injure your hot new neighbor.
Advice #3 – When said neighbor brings over Chinese Food do not let him stay and keep you company. It’s awkward when you realize he’s your boss.
Advice #4 – Accept his offer to help you with your side business but think twice before using a date to his sister’s wedding as collateral.
Advice #5 – Investigate who your mystery neighbor really is. Don’t trust his word even if he’s the world’s best kisser.
If you listen to nothing else, pay attention to that last one. It’s the most important and will save you a lot of heartache.

My Thoughts:
Brooklyn Bailey has a great support system. The Baileys are the type of family that welcome just about anyone into the family. Wyatt Whitmore isn’t quite sure what he’s stepped into. He seems to be one of those questionable guys you see a lot in the Hallmark movies.
We continue to see what a hot ticket Grandma Dori is. You can expect to get a lot of laughs when she’s around. As you start to get to know Wyatt’s family, you can see where he’s inherited the money cruncher attitude. For a long time it was hard to see how Wyatt was going to fit in with the Baileys but our authors are good at pulling out the good in everyone.
The authors give us just enough of Brooklyn’s siblings that you have no choice but to be curious as to what their stories are going to be about. The one thing that is very apparent is how much they all care for each other. You get just enough that you learn a little more about who this family is. They all have their own individual personalities just like any normal family.
In a way it was fun to watch Wyatt squirm. Brooklyn and Lake Starlight were not what he was expecting. I didn’t really see him as a people person. That’s what made it enjoyable to watch something develop between our couple and to finally see that he does have a heart. It was like watching the building of a bonfire. Things start off slowly as the heat begins to build until you have quite the fire. The Epilogue was perfect. It gives us a happy ending as well as the beginning of the next book. May can’t get here soon enough.
