I was still enjoying Mr. Bradley telling me this latest tale of Isabella and Roman. This time he takes us more on an adventure with a mystery mixed in. The first book had me wanting to take a road trip but this time I was happy to stay in my chair. He’s still more of a narrator than a voice actor because he doesn’t attempt to make his voice seem female. He makes a slight change in his voice but I was glad he didn’t try and do a high pitch because that would have made me laugh and I don’t think that’s what the author was looking for us to do.

Our author takes us on a medical mystery with this book. There may be werewolves involved but it just may take a human in order for them to solve what is going on. This story is more about the solving instead of any type of romance. The romance is nice but wanting to find out what is going on is what became important here. Also trying to figure out who’s the good guy and who is not.

Werewolves live by rules just like everyone does. Sometimes they make bad decisions and not all members have the same agenda. Full disclosure, there were a couple of scenes that turned my stomach so if you’re squeamish this is your warning. Listening to the story, as opposed to reading, makes the scenes more realistic. Even though it may seem as if our couple has their happy ending, I did have to wonder if we would see The Council as well as Isabella and Roman again. Will another adventure come up where their expertise is needed? Will we see more from this author? Only time will tell.

Narrator Bio

Audiobook narrator Hugh Bradley brings his distinctive voice to titles ranging from romance to history.
Hugh brings characters to life with a distinct voice, with a deep understanding of the character and their motivation. Mr. Bradley doesn’t just tell us the story, he brings us with him on the journey.

From Hugh: “I’m a classically trained actor, and have been on Broadway and toured all over the world in everything from musicals to Shakespearean productions. I still perform on stage from time to time, but most of the time these days I stick to recording, and producing and directing for the stage.”
