I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Sierra Kline. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

From best-selling author Natasha Stories.

Erin Timms took a new job as a veterinarian in Sunshine, Colorado, for two important reasons: to get away from her ex, and to give herself a chance at a new life. But when devastating news of her ex follows her there, she begins to think she has made a terrible mistake.

Tall, stunning-looking Jon Miles had only one goal: to save the mountain canyon where Sunshine is located from businessmen who want to exploit it. But how can he do that when he is already an outcast?

There was nothing to suggest they’d ever meet, much less strike a spark of red-hot romance. Except that Erin can never turn away a stray....

I'm Natasha, and I write romance and erotic romance stories. I love reading too, and some of my favourite novels are books like Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James, the Fade series by Kate Dawes, as well as the Crossfire series.

True to her Midwestern roots, Sierra got her degree in theatre from Michigan State University which she has been fortunate to put to heavy use both on the stage and in the booth. He’s been on stage since he was 13 (his mom still has the bellhop costume she made) and currently lives in Los Angeles with his family and dog.

Where does Stray rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I don't compare one book to the next. Unless I were to compare it to other books that this author has written. Since this is the first book that I've listened/read of Ms. Stories, I have no other book to compare it to.

What does Sierra Kline and Jeffrey Kafer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They both do a great job at bringing the characters they portray to life. Ms. Kline has a way of adding in accents and changing tones that was perfect when trying to think what the female characters would be like. I certainly would not have been able to do that if I were reading this book on my own. If I ever came across Jon somewhere else, I don't think that I could picture any other voice but Mr. Kafer's. Ms. Kline and Mr. Kafer were the perfect pair to keep me entranced with this story. I can see myself looking for other books that they have worked on together.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

If I were to consider it an extreme reaction it would be how I felt about Megan. Were you to look up the word brat in the dictionary there would be a picture of her. The only thing is that she can distract you from the actual story that's going on. She has that type of personality where she's looking for attention - always acts like she's entitled because of her parents. There were times that I just couldn't help the eye rolls. If I were to come up with a disappointment it would have to be the amount of time that Max makes an appearance in the story. It also had me wishing I had a little cuddle buddy to snuggle with as I listen to the story.

Any additional comments?

This is one of those stories where your reading and listening experiences would be totally different. I have a copy of the book but after listening to the story I don't know if I could go back and read the book again without thinking of our narrators. They are the voices for the characters that Ms. Stories has created. They show us the emotions that the characters are feeling.

At times we get pulled away from the true story because of what Jon is trying to do and how it's affecting Erin's job. Then we have the scenes where Megan makes an appearance. She has a strong personality that requires our scrutiny. Then we have what's going on in Jon's life. It's like we go off in different directions and need something to pull us back in. You have to be careful when the story seems to go off point that you don't get distracted and stop listening to what is being said. On the whole, this was a good listening experience.
