My Thoughts:

This book starts off showing that not everyone has a happy childhood.  I found myself being torn in two different directions.  Not sure which way my mind was supposed to go.  But that makes for a good mystery.  And I’m terrible at figuring those things out, I’ll just play Follow the Leader and see where our author plans to take me.

Simone Ray is one that must pay for the sins of the past.  But is the cost too much?  She also wants to be in control of her life.  Mac has grown up to be a part of an MC – it seemed as if it was just what he needed.  We have a secondary character that was part of the Devil’s Dust MC so that may be something to check out – after you finish reading this, of course.  It was interesting to see how Simone integrated into being with the Sin City Outlaws.  Then we have Mac who seems to do an about face once he comes into contact with Simone.  But as you get to the end you realize some things don’t change.  I also get to see that we’re going to get a book six and I look forward to see what that book has in store for us.
