I’m a Fed.
Rigid. Rule follower. One of the good guys.
I uphold the law…when it suits me.
My loyalty lies first with my brother, Koyn, and secondly with his motorcycle club.
Jeremy Koynakov was the man I used to be.
I’m Copper now.
For a decade, I aided my brother in his quest for revenge.
We thirsted for vengeance. Hunted the villains together. Killed when necessary.
He finally found some semblance of peace in a mouthy pageant girl, and all was right in our screwed-up world.
But a certain blonde within our ranks ruined everything.
Tried to wreck our home, our lives, and our freedom.
She betrayed us.
Because of me.
It’s my responsibility to deal with this little storm who was set on destroying our world.
I could end her. It’d be easier. Simple and clean.
But that’s not the MC way.
We pride ourselves on being brutal and messy.
For a man who’s spent the better part of ten years, aching to make those suffer who’ve wronged my family, it’s a simple choice: Take her. Punish her. Make her pay.
I’m done following rules.
That time of my life is over.
I’ll finally patch in and become how I’ve been groomed to be.
I’m ready to embrace this new life where I’m not a good guy…
Every villain needs a pet.
And she just became mine.

Copper believes in family honor. He’s walking a fine line between right and wrong. Stormy knows she’s gone too far in doing what she feels is right. She doesn’t seem to know when to hold her cards close to her chest and it always comes back to bite her.
The author doesn’t make any indication of how old our main characters are but I have a feeling that there’s some type of age gap. Copper can handle it and I didn’t mind it. The only true indication is that he’s referenced as being the older brother to Koyn. You don’t need to read his book in order to enjoy Copper and that was nice of the author to craft her story that way. But the more I got to know the people of this MC chapter of the Royal Bastards MC, I found that at the very least I need to go back and change that. I want to see if Copper had any type of presence there.
Once Stormy enters the scene, the heat slowly builds and then I had to find out if they combust or slowly burn. We have to get through the mystery and suspense before we can enjoy any type of relationship that may or may not be forming. Our author had me wishing for more pet time with her addition to Copper’s family. They helped to move the scenes along and even though I couldn’t really see them, they’re cute.
I was both happy and sad by the ending. It was nice to see two couples enjoying each other. But I was sad because I didn’t want to get off this ride. Our author was nice enough to give us a sneak peek at what is coming next. Bad news is that I want it now.
