Review:

This author always takes the time to develop all her characters and that includes the secondary ones. Dixie is that woman who can be stubborn when she wants to be and then turn around and be a vixen that taunts when she’s after someone. She just needs the right partner – one who can stand up against her brothers. Jace Stone likes what he likes and makes no excuses. One of the secondary characters to watch out for is Jace’s brother, Jared. I don’t think it was intentional but he had me thinking of Rob Gronkowski – they both have a big personality. And having the right narrator helped to put that picture in my head. The author makes you feel as if you are a part of the family. When the family gets together it’s like you’re catching up with them as well.

Having great narrators helps you feel a part of the story. We just have to sit there and listen to all the gossip. Listening to Ms. Woodward and Mr. Snow helped me picture what Jace and Dixie should look like. Especially when it comes to how much of a smooth talker Jace is. They made it easy for me picture the scenes as they played out. They also made it very easy for me to decide that this is one book that I plan on listening to more than once. Although our narrators made it very tough to put down because there is never the perfect place to hit the stop. Once you’re finished getting to know Jace and Dixie you’ll understand why their ending was so perfect. I want more of the Whiskey family - I wonder if they're adopting!
