Callan O’Leary knows he can’t always have everything he wants.  Madison Parker wants what she knows is bad for her.  If you want to start with Callan’s story, may I make a suggestion?  The previous book is his brother’s story and we get a feel for Callan in that story.  My suggestion would be to wait and start with Indulge first.

I found the mystery surrounding Madison to be interesting.  Where Carrick grabbed my attention from the previous book, Madison’s story grabbed me here.  It was interesting to watch her two worlds collide.  Just like his brother, Callan commands your attention.  He may be a dominant like his brother but his proclivities are different.  You may even find yourself having to cringe a time or two.  Just like in the previous book don’t expect to see a hero or heroine.  Everything that comes before may be dark but it ends on a happy note.  I’m left a little sad since I can’t see when another book is coming.  But if I go by the title of the series, I know that one should be.  In the meantime, it leaves me plenty of time to read the first two books to see what I’ve missed.

If you pick up this book please do not skip pass the warning that the author took the time to write.

Carrick Anderson is all about control and not making excuses.  He has a very strong personality and commands attention.  Peyton Moore wants to get on with her life.  And if that includes standing up for herself so be it.  Make no mistake this is a dark story.  It’s one that you may step away from for a while but then you’ll pick it back up because it has that temptation feel to it.

Carrick has a life that starts before this story begins.  The author is very good at knowing just the right moment to give the reader a sneak peek into what that life entailed.  He’s a man who’s upfront about what he wants and his language reflects that.  So you have to be one that doesn’t shock easily.  If he were in the room with you he would probably eat you alive.  The story may even get you to wince. 

His character speaks very loudly.  Part of this could be because he’s a dominant and commands everyone’s attention.  If you’re looking for something intense that may push your buttons than you may want to check this out.  If you’re a vanilla type of person than this may make you very uncomfortable.  Maybe you like a story with a hero and heroine but I don’t know that you can put that label on our main characters.  With everything that came out throughout the story the ending may, or may not, surprise you but it’s a nice surprise.  You will also get an indication of whom the next book is about.
