Blurb:

Bold and brash, Eva MacAteer has spent her life working in her blue-collar family’s construction business. In doing so, she’s had to fight for her own place away from her overbearing father, as well as for her own identity as a woman. Struggling between her loyalty to her brothers and her desire to strike out to be her own person, Eva knows one thing for certain: getting involved with a womanizer, no matter how hot he may be, is not the path for her.

Stud is not one to be tied down to any woman. Fiercely loyal to the club and his single ways, the last thing he expects is to become fascinated by the fiery Eva. He sees his own life reflected in hers and is not quite sure how to handle the connection.

Can two mismatched people find enough common ground to overcome their fears and allow love to grow?

My Thoughts:

Eva MacAteer may be trying to find her way in the family business but she can hold her own.  One bad thing about a family business can be the family themselves.  Having grown up with three brothers I can feel Eva’s pain.  Her job puts her in the same place as Mute – make sure to check out his story.  Stud’s a player in more ways than one.  In this instance my reference has music in it.  So if you love country music, why not have it playing in the background.

I think these are people that really need each other.  Eva needs someone who will show her the world outside the business.  Stud needs her to show him that with the right woman you don’t always try to find the best next thing – which can get you in trouble.  This story will also make you fall in love with the group as a whole.  It was interesting to see how impressed the guys of the MC seemed to be with Eva.

This is a book where you just may have a good time.  Eva will have you laughing and Stud will have you wanting to hum along.  Being summertime, I found myself wanting to pack a picnic lunch and go find a comfortable spot, with just a little shade, and sit and read this latest Dragon Runners story.  And with this time of year it’s likely that I’ll hear a motorcycle or two to add to the ambiance.

Again, this story is told from the point of view of the woman that ends up with the “hero” of our story.  I find that an interesting choice but I didn’t mind it either.  We still know what Stud’s thinking but get more of Eva’s perspective on things.  You have to feel sorry for Eva when it comes to all the men in her life but I liked the fact that the Dragon Runners , as well as their women, had no problem in bringing her into their family.  What I loved about the ending was like the rest of the story - it got me to laugh.  So can’t wait for book three – how is our author going to top this one.

Author Bio:

ML Nystrom had stories in her head since she was a child. All sorts of stories of fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured her interest.  A voracious reader, she’s spent many hours devouring books; therefore, she found it only fitting she should write a few herself!

ML has spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn’t mean she’s pigeon-holed into one mold.  She’s been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else she felt like exploring.  As one of her students said to her once, "Life’s too short to ignore the opportunities."  She has no intention of ever stopping... so welcome to her story world. She hopes you enjoy it!
