Preacher’s daughter Willow Miller's idyllic life is shattered in a matter of seconds. In the midst of a devastating heartbreak, she’s forced to evaluate everything she thought she believed in and make a choice...the man she thinks she knows or the man who sets her heart aflame.
Finn 'Dash' Lloyd doesn’t “do” good girls. He’s a newly patched member of the Dogs of Fire Motorcycle Club, and he’s enjoying all the perks that come with it. But when he finds himself thrust into the unwanted role of guardian, he realizes the good girl that captures his heart might just save his soul.
But Dash needs to figure out how to protect Willow from a threat buried deep in her past before it's too late.
Willow Miller is brought up to stay away from men on bikes. But it’s interesting to see whom she turns to when she’s in the middle of something she doesn’t understand. Finn “Dash” Lloyd was at the right place at the right time. Willow is in the middle of a mystery that will grab your attention. One thing that I liked is that Willow had an upbringing that was different from a lot of people and the author stayed true to that as she developed her scenes.
I enjoyed the banter that was created between our two main characters. They couldn’t be more different but just because someone’s different doesn’t mean that you can’t like or love them. Willow doesn’t realize it but she teases Dash and in teasing him she’s also teasing us. This just means that we’ll have to follow the story and see where it goes. Plus there’s the little matter of a mystery that surrounds her father that needs to be solved. Some things may seem serious but the author has a way of turning it around so you have no choice but to chuckle.
Our author has created quite a few books in the Dogs of Fire series that I find I have a lot of reading to do. The good news is that I didn’t need to read all of them in order to enjoy this latest book. Willow meets a member of the Dogs of Fire when she was just a little girl. It left me wanting to know more and I was happy to see that his book is already out. So since I don’t feel that I have to read these books in order, my next book will have to be Road To Peace.

“Dash and Willow, what a great ride.”
“I don't know how she does it but Piper has managed to inject the sweet with just enough spice.”
“This book was freaking awesome. Such a twisted storyline with bikers and religion.”
