About HOPE RESTORED:

The Gallagher Brothers series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan concludes with the final brother who thought he had everything to look forward to, and the one woman who can handle him.

Life isn’t worth living if you don’t fight to live. That’s what Murphy Gallagher learned at a young age when cancer ravaged his body not once, but twice. Over the course of his survival, he lost his parents and his childhood, but he’s been healthy for years and has become a man he hopes his family is proud of. But when his world tilts on its axis yet again, he’ll have to learn what it means to fight not only the unknown but also his attraction to his best friend.
Tessa Stone works hard and plays harder. She’s spent her life trying to figure out who she is in the present rather than looking back. Yet when she’s forced into close proximity with Murphy, she’ll have to not only be his rock but learn how to relax enough to maybe let him be hers, as well. But seduction doesn’t stop when the world seems to, and close encounters of the naked kind might just be the first step in something much more complicated than either of them bargained for. Life, though, is for living, after all.

My Thoughts:

I don’t often read the book blurbs because I don’t want to go into a review with any expectations.  For some reason that changed with this one.  Could it be because this is the end of the series?  That I don’t know but it had me saying “wow”.

Murphy Gallagher has a niece that steals the show right from the very beginning.  Leaves me wondering if the Gallaghers won’t pop up again at a later date.  Loved how the author shows the camaraderie with his brothers and extended family.  It has you thinking about you, your family and your interactions with each other.

Tessa Stone sees something that’s going to rock this group’s world.  Now you would think that since this was the last book that things wouldn’t be so serious.  But just like in real life this author does the unexpected.  And one of those unexpected things is putting in the ex from hell.  She could have let him take over the story but she kept him reigned in and not overtake what was going on with the main characters.

Don’t worry if you’ve not read the other two books in this series.  You won’t feel as if you’ve missed anything if you haven’t but if you want to know more about Murphy’s brothers and extended family then at some point you’ll want to go back and get those read.  It’s also a spin off of another of this author’s series so you might be busy for a while.  And if you read the note from Ms. Ryan you’ll know that the other series will continue and just may have some surprises.

This was one of those stories that gave me tingles.  There were just certain things that happened that gave me that certain feeling.  But once I got to the end there was this one word that gave me my biggest tingle of all.  The word also sums up this book perfectly.  It’s also a sad ending because it means the ending of the series but don’t let that stop you from reading it again.
