Desiree Cleary has given me incentive to check out Wellfleet
Massachusetts. I’ve lived in this state
all my life and have even vacationed on the Cape but not once have I checked
out that particular town. She has a
great friend named Emery who keeps things light but tells her the way things
are. I want to be her friend too. Desiree needs to be able to chill otherwise
life may pass her by.
Rick Savage has a very interesting way of meeting women. He needs to work on it a little. But he must have something that resonates
with Desiree cause they just can’t seem to stay away once that connection is
made. There’s a saying “you just can’t
make this stuff up”. We may not be able
to but this author can and this book is proof of that.
Desiree has a sister Violet.
I tried to leave her out of my review so that I could concentrate on
Desiree and Rick but the author had other ideas. She’s got a personality you just can’t ignore
and she made me laugh at every opportunity.
At times I got worried that she would overshadow her sister but the
author was good in bringing Desiree back into the forefront.
The author knows just the right moments to get her readers to
laugh. One such scene is when Desiree
decides to tell her mother off. And
there were other times where I just couldn’t help myself and ended up busting
out a laugh. Ms. Foster is also good in
showing her readers that you don’t need a lot of sex, and I’m not saying that
there isn’t some here, to have a lot of heat.
Anticipation and the connection of the main characters works just as
well. This was a great beginning to
this new series and I look forward to seeing what Bayside Passions has in store for us.
