Whitton “Skinny” Thorne is a troubled man. He shows us that not all scars can be seen
and are not all on the outside. This
story doesn’t start off happy or filled with hope. It’s sad and depressing. But it brightens a little when Roe and
Whitton reunite.
Whitton
appears vulnerable when he’s around Roe.
He doesn’t think he deserves her and we’ll just have to see if she
believes in second chances. This story
is not just about two people reconnecting.
He does belong to an MC after all.
But I didn’t find that his club was in your face here. But things get interesting when what his
group does bleeds into Roe’s job. The
sad part is it happens three quarters of the book. The good news is that it will have you
riveted in order to see the outcome. But
that doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy the story until that point. It just means that I kept waiting for more and
got impatient.
It
is suggested you read this series in order.
But I didn’t feel that I was missing anything by not having read the
first two books. Wanting to know more
about the club than I will need to go back to read the first two of the series
in order to catch up. Whitton is a twin
and wanting to know more about his brother just means that I will have to read Schooled. And by the time I got to the end of this
story my fate was solidified.
