My Thoughts:
Logan may be cocky but he wants what’s coming to him. Your first introduction to him is what has turned this book into a page-turner. Aster feels like she’s a pawn in a game where she’s not aware of the rules. Their first real conversation is one that will grab you and it’s at that point where you will get comfortable because you’re not going to move for a while.
Since a reader can’t see, or feel, the character’s emotions we rely heavily on an author’s choice of words. In this story, she has no trouble doing that. We get to see that our main characters aren’t going to have things easy. It’s alright if you have not read the first two books in this series but since it involves a family, to understand that dynamic you might want to go back to the beginning at some point. But if you don’t read to the end here, then you will never know if history repeats itself or if it can be changed.
This series isn’t over yet since the next book comes out in the new year. Plenty of time to either catch up on Redemption Hills or to even have a series marathon. Maybe you’re a reader who likes having someone read you a series. You’ll be happy to know that the first two books already have audio versions and the audio version for this current addition will go live on release day.
