Through eleven soul-stirring chapters enriched with enlightenment and healing, readers experience a kaleidoscope of emotions as they journey with Lani. EXCERPT:

I will not carry the weight of your sin.

It is yours to carry, and not my own.

When my innocent eyes looked to you,

You took your life, and I slowly lost my own.

But that is your sin to carry, and your sin alone.

I will not carry the weight of your sin.

It is yours to carry, and not my own.

You taught me that life was worthless,

Something that easily comes and goes.

But that is your sin to carry, and your sin alone.

You trespassed on my innocence, the pureness of my soul.

But that is your sin to carry, and your sin alone.

I will not carry the weight of your sin.

It is yours to carry, and not my own.

You told me to be silent.  You told me to be still.

But something inside me rotted; something inside me grew cold.

But that is your sin to carry, and your sin alone.

I will not carry the weight of your sin.

It is yours to carry, and not my own.

You violated my body, using it for the needs of your own.

But that is your sin to carry, and your sin alone.

I will not carry the weight of your sin.

It is yours to carry, and not my own.

The weight I’ve tried to shed.

The weight I’ve tried to purge.

Deceived into believing it should be shed from my body, the vessel for my soul.

But the weight that should be lost is that of your original sin, your sin, and yours alone.

I will not carry the weight of your sin.

It is not mine to carry.

It is yours and yours alone.

What is the one thing from your book that you expect the reader to learn from and use in their own life?

Rebirth of a Sage is not your typical self-help book.  Rebirth of a Sage is a story of hope, an offering of love and light to those still searching in the darkness.  The book does not provide a step-by-step guide on how to heal or find self love.  The answers and antidotes that we seek are not from a book, counselor or life coach.  Every answer and every cure is within each of us and can be accessed once we unbury our afflictions.

Loving The Book Presents: Great Summer Reads 2019; #BlogTour, #NowAvailable, #OutNow, #Giveaway

E. C. Jackson began her writing career with the full-length play Pajama Party. For three and a half years she published the Confidence in Life newsletter for Alpha Production Ministries, in addition to writing tracts and devotionals.

Teaching a women’s Bible study at her church for eleven years naturally led to her current endeavor of writing inspirational romance novels and teen and young adult fiction. Her mission: spiritual maturity in the body of Christ through fiction.

Most sleepovers are simple. Food, fun, and pillow fights. But sixteen-year-old Karen Duncan has bigger plans for her slumber party. Family troubles have changed her over the past year, and she’s no longer the petty, selfish girl she used to be. Now she’s ready to shake things up with her friends. The guest list comes as a surprise to some and a slap in the face to others. This popular girl has invited some not-so popular
guests. Even more shocking, she’s left out some of the girls she’s hung out with since middle school.

Diane and Evette are outsiders, nervous about being stuck in a house with the same girls who tease them at school. Kathy, Lisa, and Joann come to the party with the confidence of the in-crowd, but they’re masking inner-turmoil that is bound to surface. Sandy and Angela are usually the voices of reason…usually.  And then there’s Linda, the friend that got away. She may not ever forgive the girls who abandoned her years ago. Karen hopes to change her mind.

Her agenda is ambitious, and it could spell disaster. But Karen is convinced God will use this party to spark a new beginning for everyone involved. This companion book to A Living Hope gives us the inspired story Sadie Cummings wrote for the girls of Shiatown.

Snippet:

Angela polished her toenails and whispered to Sandy when Linda walked into the room.  She’d come down earlier but the family room was empty. She’d thought they were in the kitchen and she ran back upstairs. Still unable to settle down anywhere,
she tried to make another connection.

Uncertainty spoiled the splashy entrance she’d expected to make. Deflated, she looked around the room. Where were Karen, Kathy, and Lisa? No one was in the kitchen.  She’d checked there first. Linda had sat at the table when she found the room empty. Her thoughts filled with what to do, once she reached the family room.  She resisted the pull to push herself forward. Linda wanted to be asked to join in. So she waited for Sandy and Angela to notice she stood there.

Her most recent accomplishment started in the summer of 2015. Making her dad’s dream come true with publishing his works as well, as an emotional accomplishment. She is the 2016 local A.N.W.A. chapter (Snake River Writers) president, won NaNoWriMo and loves StoryMakers.
Teya has been writing for as long as she can remember. At a young age she lived on a
street she affectionately named Hill Street Blues, which helped her creative writing. Her Family moved to Menan where she continued her love of writing. Her father would always be and will continue to be her inspiration, even after his untimely death in 2006.
She loves sitting in her soft chair next to the fireplace and watching out a big living room window. It gives her plenty of creative juice for stories.
She met the love of her life in the loft of a barn. Yep, that set up some teasing from her father. They have been happily married since 2003. They have four children and all are loving and supportive of her writing.  Her oldest daughter is following in her footsteps as a writer adding her own illustrations. She refuses to comment on the trolls in the closets and under the beds. She is active in her church, has compassion for others, and a love for all life brings.

One wrong step changes Jocelyn’s Prima Ballerina’s life in
one step...

A single choice results in Jeremiah facing unbearable consequences...

When these two meet, it could be catastrophic or the answer to unspoken prayers.

Can love be tested too far? Will hearts soften and hurts be forgiven?

Or will too much loss be too devastating to find hope?

One thing is for sure, lives are about to change forever…

Excerpt:

Anticipation filled the air performance night, as tension and spirits ran high. People to further Jocelyn’s career sat strategically in the audience. For just a moment she wondered if her mother might be in the audience.
She dismissed the thought. Ridiculous, her mother never attended her performances, and she certainly wouldn’t start now. Disgust and resentment for her mother’s money and busy filled her. Jocelyn’s muscled locked, momentarily stunned by her own thoughts and shook her head to clear her mind. FOCUS, she told herself.

The performance screamed perfection so far. Jocelyn’s Pas de Deux with Jason came next, after the fairy dancers in pink sequenced ballet tutus finished.  A feeling of trepidation filled her. Not now, she thought to herself, and shook it off as nerves. The lights darkened, their cue to take center stage. Jason took her left hand in his left hand, and lifted it and kissed the back of her hand. His right arm wrapped around her waist, and placed his hand in position at her waist. Smiling down at her he walked her to center stage.

Music began and the curtain opened.  The presentation perfect, the
emotion, the reaction of the crowd, and it all fed her performance. They hadn’t seen anything yet and she almost smiled knowing the best part happened next.

With her and Jason’s emotional entanglement within ballet art, captured flawlessly. Jocelyn could feel the audience enraptured with the whole ethereal experience. The climax, the epic moment of the entire ballet filled the air as the audience held its breath.

She stepped onto the knee Jason presented to her, and up into his arms as he stood. She gently stepped onto his shoulders and balanced. She stood up in point on his shoulder. Once stable she lifted her right leg in the air and stretched her arms out in an arabesque, the audience gasped. Spotters in position Jason slowly walked in a circle as she balanced and stretched.

She stretched her furthest extension ever, her personal best. Pure perfection. Her heart calm and running rapid, at the same time. She soaked in the excited tension of the crowd as it filled the air.

When he stopped they would hold and he would do a little bounced jumped into the air. Jason would catch her and finish in a fish dive for the finale. As he came to a stop the spotters slipped back.

Closing her eyes, she prepared herself for the finale, but the moment
never came.

Jocelyn felt Jason loosen but the push up she waited for slipped away. Her mind screamed, where’s Jason’s push?  She felt the sensation of falling instead of being tossed in the air, her thoughts stern, this isn’t right.

She opened her eyes and saw the stage rapidly approaching. She knew the spotters could not reach her in time. Her heart ceased with fear and closed her eyes tight as her body stiffened. Jocelyn heard the audience’s sharp intake of breath and screams, just before her body slammed into the stage. At the same time, she heard a deafening crack and shooting pain in her back. Her body crumpled and all went black.

Snippet:

Mary tried to shrug nonchalantly but spoiled the effect with a foolish grin. Her father chuckled. Jacob was a well-respected man in Nazareth.  People often came from all over the territory to visit their small village just for the opportunity to purchase his leatherwork. On occasion he would allow Mary to visit the shop, and she had seen with her own eyes the wonders her father was capable of creating.
“Of course you are. Who would not be on such a day?” Jacob teased, but then his expression turned serious. “Joseph is a good man, Mary. He is successful and he has an excellent head on his shoulders. I would not agree to this engagement if I didn’t trust him.”
“I know, Papa,” Mary said, feeling the slight hint of a blush on her cheeks. “He has been nothing but kind to me. I am sure he will make a fine husband. I just hope that I will be a good wife for him.”
Her father waved that away. “Of course you will, child. Look at the example you have grown up with. As a husband, I could not have asked for a better wife, and now as a father, I could not ask for a finer daughter. You just remember the things your mama has taught you and you will make a wonderful wife.”
“But―” Mary protested, her doubts sneaking through.
“But nothing! Do not forget that it was Heli who approached me. My cousin wants nothing but the best for his son, and believe me, he has asked for the best.”
Mary stood and wrapped her arms around her father’s neck. “Thank you, Papa. You always know just what to say.”
“I bet if you asked your mama, she’d have a different opinion,” he said with a laugh, gently dislodging himself and stepping away from the window.  “Now hurry along. You are not the only one in this house who is nervous. If you don’t start helping your mama soon, we’ll both be in trouble.”
Mary’s grin was mischievous. “That might be fun to watch.”
“Bite your tongue, girl!” he growled playfully. “I’ve enough on my plate this morning without catching an earful about a certain disobedient daughter. You mind your mama!”
Mary made her eyes as big and innocent as possible. Jacob held his glower for a moment, but then faltered.
“I pity that poor boy,” he muttered, turning away from the window.  “He has no idea what he is getting into.”

RBTL Presents: A Dark Journey Into The Light by Josef; #OnSale, #99Pennies, #LimitedTime

¸.•´¸.•*´¨)✯ ¸.•*¨)
✮ (¸.•´✶ (¸.•` a dark Journey into the light by Josef Smith

Blurb/Synopsis:

A dark Journey into the light is an interesting and thought provoking read for anyone who has questioned urges and desires familiar to us all. I spent sixty years of my life in “limbo” trying to understand what was driving me to explore every fantasy I could find. We all enjoy sex but the book provides interesting insights into the workings of the mind of a sex addict. We are much more than what we feel, and less than what we think. This book explores what is possible when we find balance between the two. This is not a story of finding redemption through “finding God”. It’s simply the story of finding myself.

Josef

a dark Journey into the light was a lifetime in the making and more than 2 years in the writing. One of the biggest issues in life is sex and people usually make a choice. They either follow their desires, or they don't. This book looks at the issues that arose, and the conflict of emotions I had to deal with when I chose both, although it more correctly felt like they chose me.

Life became an exercise in learning about myself by exploring what "lies beneath" as it reared it’s head and found it’s way to the surface. There was no way around the exploration because the battle for supremacy raging between the two was inside me. What was the war all about and what would become of me? I am so much more than what I feel, and much, much less than what I think. This book is my journey of continuing self-discovery as I move through the mystery we call life.

The book is an autobiography so it's pretty much all about me and who I am. I suppose there are a few small things that aren't covered. For instance, I like dogs and horses and I love gardening. I'm a country boy and grew up with spiders and snakes, and although I'm not keen on spiders if one crawls up my trouser leg they don't freak me out either. A snake up the trouser leg though would be a different story! Think “a hillbilly version of River Dance.” I love long hikes over the mountains or across the plains. Just as long as I'm walking somewhere, but at times I wonder if I'm just trying to leave something behind.

RBTL Presents: A Dark Journey Into The Light by Josef; #BookBlitz, #Free, #LimitedTime, #2DaysOnly

Author: Josef
Series: Stand Alone
Genre: Autobiography
Publisher: Self – Published
Release Date: Sept 17 2016
Edition/Formats: eBook

Blurb/Synopsis:

A dark Journey into the light is the true story of a man who, for sixty
years, led a double life.

Josef is lost in a secret world of sexual gratification, a
true-life Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, unable to halt the “roller coaster of conflicting emotional extremes that never stopped long enough for me to get off.”
“I gave myself to that sexual playground completely, and
loved every minute of it when it was happening. It was only afterwards that spikes of shame, guilt, and self-¬loathing would be driven deep into my heart.”
He traces the beginnings of his obsession to his childhood, where his natural innocent curiosity and need for exploration were at odds with his Catholic upbringing and the view of his extremely repressed mother, both of whom regarded the human body as ‘dirty’ and ‘shameful’.
For sixty years, Josef lived a secret double life. The only people who knew about this other life were the professional mistresses, trannies, and prostitutes with whom he indulged every conceivable sexual fantasy. No one in his ‘other’ life had any idea of who he really was or the things he did.
Yet his secret life claimed a terrible toll. The failure of his first marriage. The loss of his son. The loss of his beloved second wife.
Only after extensive therapy was he finally able to see and feel the light of compassion, and allow the healing energy of forgiveness to begin taking away the pain.
In his journey, Josef explores an astonishing variety of topics. In addition to sexual addiction and the hidden world of BDSM, he delves into the burden of guilt of the Catholic Church, fear, political correctness, non-¬judgment, love and loss, philosophy, the soul, spiritual awakening, and healing.
This is the journey of an ordinary man lost in an extraordinary secret, dark world, who ultimately finds his way out of the tangled mess through the power of love and forgiveness.

Q&A with the Author:

3- What is the thing you struggle with the most while writing?   Stopping and moving.
How do you defeat it? I have to set a timer and step away.

4 - What kind of music do you listen to while you write? I don't it's too much of a distraction for me. Unless I write poetry then it's classical.

She stretched her furthest extension ever, her personal best. She felt Jason’s hand strengthen at her waist, pushing her up to his fullest lift as his right hand let go of her leg for a moment. Pure perfection. Her heart calm and running rapid, at the same time feeling the
