Protecting humans from evil is paramount and has meant periodically reinventing his identity to avoid rousing suspicion. But as his desire grows for his secretary, Eleanor, duty feels more like a burden, because he can’t imagine starting a new life without her.

He can never fall in love.

A force of evil is wreaking havoc and Cam and his Archangel brothers scramble to determine and thwart the cause. The key lies in Eleanor’s tormenting memories, but if they push her too hard, she might snap. Cam must walk the delicate line between protecting Eleanor, appeasing his brothers, and saving the world.

1: Grasping her hips, he set her on the table then whipped her shirt over her head before she realized his intention.

2: The soft press of his lips transported her into a sensual world of fantasy where she could forget there had ever been anyone before her.

3: “I can smell your arousal, Elle. It makes my mouth water as much as it hardens me. Are you going to be a good girl and let me taste you…everywhere?”

4: Fighting his pull was just too hard. With a groan he took full advantage and deepened the kiss.

5: Eleanor leaned into Cam’s embrace and conceded defeat. There was no reason to resist anymore, when this was exactly what she’d been wanting for so long.

Excerpt:

Prologue

The Archangel Camael spread his large white wings and gazed out over the vast landscape below him. Animals ran through the woodlands and grazed on the high grasses in the valley. Streams flowed, birds flew, the sun shone brightly, and the wind whispered a slight breeze to perfume the air. All appeared beautiful and glorious to his angelic sight, as close to perfection as it would ever be. So why had the Source of All Creation grown quiet?
He floated down to the ground and stood among his six brothers. Michael, Zerachiel, Raphael, Selaphiel, Uriel, and Gabriel, all deemed brothers because of their station. They were the Archangels of Heaven, the first ones created by the Source. They would do the bidding of Good and Right, and keep order and balance among the newly created humans. So far, things had been…interesting.
Gabriel dropped to his knees and hung his head, the others immediately surrounding him. Gabriel was the Voice, the chosen mouthpiece for the Source. All communication from their creator rang through him, until two days before, when Gabriel had opened his mouth to speak to Michael and no sound had emerged—he had been struck mute. The shared telepathy hadn’t worked, either. Gabriel was locked in silence, unable to communicate with them, and all pleas to the Source had gone unanswered.
Not knowing what else to do, Michael had led his brothers back into the human realm. They weren’t Watchers—the brotherhood of angels tasked with watching over the humans and reporting back to the Source of their activities and progress—and hadn’t been called upon to remain with the humans in their realm. However, they all agreed the Source must be displeased with something they had done…or neglected to do.
Their leader, Michael, pointed. “The woods surround this place, and the animals are plenty. We will build a home and live as men until the Source once again speaks our tasks.”
The others agreed, though there was no questioning Michael in anything. They would follow where he led and do as he bid until the end of time.
Camael helped Gabriel to his feet and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. “We are all in this together, brother. You will never walk in your silence alone. You have my vow.”
“And mine,” the others said one by one.
Gabriel nodded, but his eyes couldn’t hide his torment. How long would he have to endure the torture of silence? No one had that answer, so they followed Michael into the woods and made their home.

(Please list at least 5 (more, if possible) unique Tweets to help gain attention for your book. These shouldn't be overly promotional, but should rather try to engage readers. They can be questions, quotes, something character-driven, or something else creative about your theme, plot, etc.)

1: “Her laugh was infectious, her smile radiant. How had her beauty seemed so muted before now?”

2: “His bare chest was a distraction and her fingers ached to touch his skin. Would the light pelt of hair be soft, or wiry? It looked soft.”

3: “All thought fled and she licked her suddenly dry lips. His gaze dropped to her mouth and she had the insane idea that he might kiss her.”

4: “It was no simple meeting of the mouths. It was ecstasy and every fantasy she’d ever had since meeting Cam.”

Loving the Book Presents: Echo of Her Presence by Alaina Stanford; #ChristmasBlitz & #Giveaway

Echo Of Her Presence by Alaina Stanford

I have one of those brains that won't turn off at night. Many nights I would distract my intellect by revamping a movie, book or TV show in my mind. I would twist and turn the plots and characters to achieve the ending I preferred. That developed into side stories about my favorite minor characters. Each night I fell asleep in the middle of a grand adventure. It wasn't long before I began to create stories of my own and put pen to paper.

I love a good adventure. I love a good romance.  As the mother of seven children, I also learned to love to play video games.  One day it occurred to me to write an adventure that flowed like a video game and I added a touch of romance. Thus, Hypnotic Journey was born. The HJ characters are like a family to me. They are foolish, daring, resourceful, passionate and dedicated to their friends.

My love for Science Fiction gave birth to the Treborel Series.  It’s a paranormal Sci-Fi romance featuring a psychotic villain and a multiple layer of hero's fighting to survive the chaos.

I write about how friendship and love can carry you through situations that you might not otherwise survive. You will find my stories exciting and steamy, but I am not an erotic writer. My stories fade to
dark when the steam begins to rise, but take it from me, the steam does rise and emotions do soar.

Ariel carried the ultimate burden of failure on her shoulders. She'd fallen victim to the oldest trick in the book. Angel's aren't supposed to fail, angels aren't suppose to fall in love. Her failure concerned both. In her moment of weakness she had not only failed mankind, she had failed God. Now her heart was an island of ice encased behind a steel barrier no one could penetrate. Not even her divine partner Met.

Ariel's heart was locked away forever. Then she gazed into the steely gray eyes of a stubborn Texas rancher.

 Snippet Time!
Even angel’s get sunburnt.  Ariel’s ivory skin held a light pink glow. The Texan sun was merciless. She gazed across the cattle range searching for her target. The drought was real enough. Even the usually humid Texas air was so dry the sweat didn’t have time to form on her skin. Her long chestnut hair flowed freely about her shoulders as a hot wind brushed against her.

She left her wings extended in an attempt to shade her bare arms and back. A tan top and jeggings were a bad choice of wardrobe for today. Neither were the white tennis shoes on this rocky soil. The unhindered sunlight illuminated the cobalt blue center of her wings that were wrapped in a deep purple hue which sprang from an emerald green base. Her wings ended with a thin tan border. “SPF 50,” she muttered, licking her parched lips. “And a side of icy bottled water. That would make my day.”

Bringing rain to a drought plagued land was a slow process. Ariel found the dry stream bed she was
searching for and glanced up at the sky. She spread her arms out wide and closed her eyes, concentrating. If she pulled storm clouds to her too quickly the resulting storms could devastate the entire southern region of the US. High winds, Tornados, flash floods, and destructive lightening running ramped across the land would not put her in favor with the Big Guy.

She wiggled her fingers as her thoughts flowed west across Texas toward Mexico and the Pacific Ocean.  The jet stream ran directly across Mexico from the ocean toward Texas. Then she reached north past New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada to the jet stream that rushed across California and down into Texas. She gently pulled moisture toward Texas.  It would take several days possibly a week or more for enough moisture to build and move into the state. She had to bring it slowly to avoid torrential rains that would do nothing more than produce run off and flooding.

Loving the Book Presents: Archangel by Alaina Stanford; #BookBlitz & #Giveaway

We are so excited to spotlight book 3 of the Archangel series today! Let's take a look at this great book.

Synopsis

Ariel has proven her prowess on the battlefield. Still since the Great
War she has maintained a low profile allowing her fellow archangels to
take a leading role. Just as she finally strikes out on her own she
meets a stubborn Texas cattle rancher named Orson Anderson. His steely
blue eyes and bold Texan attitude immediately set her on the defense.
Yet it's her job to save Texas from a wicked drought, but it's not going
to be that easy. While gently urging nature to move moisture into
Texas, she discovers demons at work in the oil fields.

Her small task quickly escalates. Suddenly the entire nation is at risk and it's up to her to save it.

Snippet:
“What the hell are you doing out here?” A deep voice with a Texas twang said from behind her.
Her eyes flashed with annoyance as she turned to find a man in a cowboy hat with a scruffy beard sitting on a horse staring down at her with steely gray eyes. “I’m minding my own business doing nothing that should concern you,” She squinted at him in the harsh daylight.
“You got a death wish?” He snapped and glanced around, “Where’s your man? Sleeping one off in his air conditioned dune buggy while you try to get some warped version of a California tan?”
Ariel sighed and glared at him. He was one of those archaic cowboy types who chewed tobacco and slept under his horse. “Relax Haas, I’m just doing my job. So why don’t you get on with yours. I wouldn’t want to keep you from burning the flesh off a cow or shooting at something.”
He turned back to gaze at her. His eyes narrowed suspiciously then he chuckled. “You’re a cocky minx, but those pretty brown eyes aren’t going to stop a wild hog from ripping your head off. This country is full of them you know.”
“How fascinating,” She muttered. She turned and began following the dry stream bed hoping he’d ride off.
“Look lady,” He called moving his horse toward her, “You don’t seem to understand. We are in the middle of a drought, you don’t appear to have any water on you and that stream bed you’re following isn’t going to lead you to any. Now I’m not partial to riding double, it’s hard on the horse, but I don’t see any option at this point. So give me your hand and I’ll pull you up.”
She stopped and turned to stare at him. The fight had gone out of his face, replaced with a sincerity she couldn’t ignore, but somehow found annoying. “So let me get this straight. You want to be my knight in shining armor and save me from certain death?”
He smiled. He had a nice smile full of perfect white teeth. He pulled off his hat and smoothed back his thick brown hair. Ariel’s attention was drawn to his bicepts. They were the size of a mountain. “Lady, I don’t know how you got out here or what you think you’re doing. Frankly, I don’t care. But I’m not leaving any woman, crazy or not, in the middle of the range with no horse and no water. Now I’d like to get out of this heat. Contrary to what you may believe Texans are tough, but we are human. I’ve got some water in my saddle bag which I am happy to share. It’s a bit of a ride back to the stables. So if you want to climb up on my horse voluntarily that’s great. I’d prefer it.” His smile vanished, “However, if you are going to stand there arguing with me like an empty headed princess and I have to get off of my horse to fetch your skinny ass…”
“Are you threatening me?” Ariel locked eyes with him. Her hands went to her hips.
He sighed and said quietly, “Yes, I guess I am. Ma’am, I’m not leaving you behind.” His eyes softened and their color deepened to warm cobalt blue, “You’ll die.”
