"How do you choose between your heart and your responsibilities?

Merry Hurst, a fierce widow and single mom, is determined to give her young son the life he deserves—including a male role model who will stick around for the long haul. She can't afford to fall for a man who isn't planning to stay in Huckleberry Falls, so she might as well stop dreaming about Carlisle Wyndham. If only it were that easy!

Carlisle Wyndham is determined to develop the avalanche-proof transceiver that could have saved his wife's life. He's glad his daughter has made a new friend, but they’re only staying in Huckleberry Falls long enough to complete the project. When he meets the young boy’s mother, Carlisle’s not prepared for how alive she makes him feel.

But he has pressing responsibilities pulling him back to England while Merry’s require her to stay. Do they dare risk getting involved only to say goodbye?"

Snippet:

Psst.”

Carlisle paused in reaching for the door handle and glanced over his shoulder. Another stylist on the other side of the room from Merry’s station was waving him over. He hesitated only a second before joining the unknown woman.

“Don’t give up on her,” she said, her eyes almost pleading.

“Give up?”

“On Merry.” The middle-aged stylist shot a quick glance toward the front of the salon before continuing. “Since she’s been seeing you, she’s come alive again, even if she’d never admit it. She’s scared herself now though.”

Was Merry afraid of him? Did she believe his attentions toward her insincere?

“If you care for her at all—and I can see you do—don’t let her push you away. I’m just saying.” The woman pointed to the door and gave him a gentle push toward it.

As the eighth earl of Kellworth, Gareth is accustomed to getting what he wants. Then he encounters a woman he suspects is from the future--a utopian future that he feels compelled to see. He intends to get what he wants, but it will involve dealing with fae magic. And that could lead to disaster--for his heart.

Dr. Catherine Ryan is drawn to the handsome guest at Twickenham Manor, with his odd combination of childish excitement and old eyes that have seen too much pain. She loses her heart to him before she discovers the truth of when he’s from. Now she faces the biggest decision of her life!

Snippet:

I’d like to suggest that we do something a little different today,” Catherine said to Gareth at the end of their third week together. They were headed toward the pastry shop where the people now knew him by his first name. It seemed to please him whenever they called him Gareth.
“What would you have us do?”
“We’re still doing the tour of Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard. It’s tonight. It’s a fundraiser event for work, but it’s at the Barbican Conservatory. We could take a tour during the day, but I thought it might be more fun for you to see how it can be used in different ways.”
“A social function?” Gareth asked, perking up even more. “With your peers? How formal will the dress be? I wish to do you credit. Will I meet other female doctors?”
He was so adorable. Catherine had debated inviting him to be her plus-one. She hadn’t gone last year because she couldn’t bring herself to go alone. If she showed up with a guest this year, coworkers would assume he was her boyfriend and get way too excited for her. When he left next week, she’d have to deal with the pity thing again.
Last night, as she’d crawled into bed, she’d decided to go alone. Then she’d dreamed of saying goodbye to him at the end of his holiday here. A sense of dread had filled her, and this morning she still hadn’t been able to shake it. Their time together was running out.
“Yes, you’ll get to meet other female doctors.” Catherine said. “Do you want me to set you up with one of them?” She had meant it as a joke and was surprised at the twinge of jealousy.
“Set me up?”
“Date someone.” At his confused expression, she added, “It’s when two people go to functions because they like each other romantically.”
“Courtship? With someone else?”
Her heart did a little flip-flop. Someone else. The horror laced in his tone sent a thrill through Catherine that she had to push down. She had to admit she’d grown too fond of this handsome man with his charmingly old-fashioned manners, delight in the world around him, and even his gentle flirting.
“I was teasing you. I won’t really set you up.” Not likely. When he left, Gareth Hildebrand was going to leave a huge hole in Catherine’s life. With so little time left together, she had no intension of sharing him with another woman.

Snippet From A Savage Ghost:

Above it hung a really old-looking painting. From the clothing on the man and two children, I guessed it must have been in the early 1800s. Were they ancestors, to have such a prominent place in the room? I stepped closer, drawn to the little girl in the picture. Her curls refused to be tamed, and the painter had captured a mischievous gleam in her eyes that made me wonder what she saw off screen. Her expression reminded me of Mellie.
I shifted my attention to the rest of the people, settling on the man dressed in a familiar red British uniform but wearing a cape made of the blue in the British flag. Was he the little girl’s father?
Out of nowhere, with powerful feelings like in a dream, came an image of him wandering the halls of this castle. Sad and alone, he called for someone, but no one came.
“Did you lose them and then have to live in this house all by yourself?” I whispered, caught up in a sense of loss so strong it brought sudden tears. “So much emptiness. Did it echo around you, trying to swallow you up?”
My hair swirled around with a breezy, soft yeeesssss, and the hair on my arms stood up. Shocked, I held my breath and searched the room. For a second I thought I could see the man in the portrait standing by a bookcase. I blinked and he was gone.
I took a deep breath, resisting the urge to run screaming from the room. I must not give rein to the overactive imagination of my childhood. With my back held rigid, I forced my feet to walk at a normal pace to the door, just like I used to do as a little kid after staying up too late to watch a scary movie.
Pausing in the doorway, I glanced back. Had I really seen a .... No.
