Once, I had dreams and a future. Now, I have fears, scars, and insatiable needs. I’m damaged beyond repair, but if I’m to survive the most dangerous man in Johannesburg, I can’t allow him to break me, because broken toys are destined for the garbage dump.
(CONSENT is the second and final full-length novel in a two-part duet. The first book, DUBIOUS, must be read in order to follow the story. This is a dark romance with a criminal anti-hero and forced seduction. Reader discretion is advised.)

My Thoughts:
This story starts where Dubious
ends. It shows that this duet must be
read in order. If you want to know how Valentina
and Gabriel came to be you need to start with book one. Plus it would almost be like cheating and
starting to read in the middle of a book.
Both these characters seem desperate but for different reasons. But will they have the same goal as this book
progresses? Valentina’s desperation takes
on a very sad quality but there are times when choices need to be made. You know an author is doing their job when
you get shivers going down your back.
I don’t know if the author intended it, and I don’t know if Gabriel
would appreciate it, but there was a scene where I could come up with one word
for him and it was “cute”. He’s a man
that commands but his softer side shows through – even though he may not want
it to. Even though Valentina may be
fighting it, she’s good for him. And if
she’s willing, maybe he will be good for her.
Our author knows how to create heat too.
So if your e-reader gets a little warm you’ll know why.
The ending is both happy and sad.
Our author gives our characters a happy ending – which is always nice to
see. But the ending is also sad because
this means that the duet is over. And
then we turn happy again because this just means that we can go on and read
more of this author’s work. And if you
look at her list of books you will have plenty to choose from.
More in the series!
