My Thoughts:
Bran Bowers is a man whose job is all about protecting people. Destiny Warren has been through a lot and it’s
something she would prefer to forget.
Bran was there when she needed someone the most. She seems to be hiding but he won’t let
her. He just may be the catalyst to
bring her back into the world of the living.
This story shows two different sides of people dealing with
tragedy. There are those that are
victims of violence and those that are victims of war. People handle their tragedies differently –
sometimes we need the love of another human being and sometimes we need the
unconditional love of an animal. There
is one character that will have you rethinking how you look at people. I know it can be hard but we have to stop
staring. You don’t realize how uncomfortable
and awkward you’re making that person feel.
If you don’t like feeling that way then you have to realize that they
don’t either. The author never makes
light of their situation but she knows when a scene may be getting a little too
serious so she adds something in that will lighten the mood and have you
laughing.
It took a tragedy for Destiny to make friends with Franki and she’s
just one of the people in her life to help her get past that tragic event. Two of my favorite characters are Marilyn and
Franki. They can be very sneaky when they
have a good cause. I would love to know
if they’re based on actual women because I would love to meet them.
Found myself falling in love with the residents of Crawley Creek. They let you into their lives with no
excuses. We get to see them overcome
their greatest fears and let other people get to know them for who they really
are. In this instance, I was glad to see
that the ending was left with things up in the air. There’s a mystery that needs to be solved and
I want to be there when that happens.
