I’m a doctor. Not just any doctor. I’m an OB/GYN, so I know my way around the female anatomy. It goes without saying, I’m pretty comfortable around women. That is, until one particular bespectacled beauty makes me incredibly uncomfortable. And suddenly, I’ve got no clue whatsoever what to do about this particular woman.
I did it. I had a one night stand and now all the warnings my momma gave me are coming true. I’m pregnant and he’s not really into relationships, let alone the instant family kind. So, I’m going it alone in Ireland, a country I’ve only just moved to, and ready to be a single mother, until my search for a doctor leads me right back to him.
Gray Fairfield is having fun far away from home. I’m just a little envious of her job. Aiden Murphy has an appointment with destiny. It’s interesting to see how much he changes as he gets to know Gray. Gray has a body image issue and Aiden is there to try and help her change her view of herself. He’s also not willing to give up on them as a couple – even though he has a reputation.
Aiden’s profession helps in having to deal with Gray but it can also be a hindrance. I loved how the author continues this story from her novella in that she takes us back to Ireland. This book solidified my resolve to some day get to Ireland and taking this series with me.
These two characters seem to be good for each other. When these two meet they didn’t seem to add up to a couple. But the author takes her time and builds her scenes where we see that over time you can’t picture them any other way then being a couple. Gray is a woman who tries to say no but Aiden is just too much temptation. He doesn’t take advantage of that but he does use it to his advantage. Their road isn’t an easy one and this is just one thing that makes the story seem so believable. And it all ends with a smile.
I liked the start to this series very much but couldn’t find anything about a book two, which was something of a disappointment. But if you don’t want to wait, I found that there is a book that ties in from the author’s other series. The book is titled World’s Apart. Then at some point maybe we’ll get a hint about a book two.

Ryan is a typical teenage boy when he first meets Chloe Carson. Then the story fast-forwards to the present. He’s at a family function when he drops a bomb. This is when the story will catch your attention until the very end.
As you get to know Chloe, we get a glimpse into something she’s been keeping quiet about for a very long time. It’s something that could impact both their lives. But don’t fret because the author will give you an HEA. It left me wanting to see them into the future just to make sure that the happily every after actually came true. Because this is a novella the story the scenes move quickly but flow from one scene to the next.
I loved the idea that this story took place in Ireland. It left me wanting to go on a trip and taking this series with me. Ryan and Chloe left me wanting to know more about Ryan’s family. The way to do that is to follow this series and I thought Avow was a great way to start. I’m interested to see if all the relatives are just like Ryan.
