About Chasing Power:
For Keiran Saysin, protecting the fairy population from humans is more than a job. It is passion and his duty to the realm. Since Eero’s revolution failed—and the discovery of fairy power lying dormant in some of the human population, that job hasn’t been easy. Now that his sister and her husband are welcoming a set of twins, old enemies have come out of hiding, hoping the children will a serve as a key to reclaiming what has been stripped from them.
Enter Annie Valentine, the genetic researcher Daniel’s mother has employed. Keiran knows the smart thing to do is cast a spell and push the human away, but something about the way she stands toe to toe and eye to eye has him forgetting that getting involved with a human could cost him everything he values, including his power.

My Thoughts:
Annie Valentine has
an interesting first meeting with Keiran Saysin. And it’s this first meeting that makes me
realize that going back and reading books one and two might be a good
thing. We get a glimpse into the fine
line of what we believe with our eyes and what we believe with our head and
hearts. And that’s one more reason to
start this series from the beginning.
Keiran is a man of
action – he’s also a hot alpha who has some special abilities. He’s a very in-charge alpha male who takes
his responsibilities very seriously. But
Annie has an effect on him that he can’t explain. Without knowing it, he’s helping Annie come
out of her shell.
Our author shows
how nasty some family members can be and how the relatives can have their hands
tied when dealing with them. This
conflict seems to take up most of the book but that doesn’t stop the author
from finding the time to put our two main characters in each other’s path. But I felt that Daniel and Monique’s story
was the main part of the plot of this story.
There are two little ones that are very important to this story as well.
For me the story
was slow but it needed to be so that I could comprehend all that the author was
telling me. I had to concentrate on each
scene so that I wouldn’t miss or misunderstand something that was going
on. I think if you want to know the fine
line between the human world and that of the fairies you need to read Fairyproof. But for me it was the children that will
steal your heart and if you’re looking for the page-turner it’s those two wee
ones.
