Words Turn Me On Presents: Soul Stealer by Lashell Collins; #CoverReveal & #Giveaway

Title: Soul Stealer
Cover Reveal
Author: Lashell Collins
Genre: Paranormal/Shifter/Rock Star Romance
Publication Date: December 6, 2015

In a world where human-shifter relations are often volatile and riddled with unfair presumptions on both sides, Aleigha Daniels finds it difficult to trust. Fairytales are for little girls because in real life, men cheat. Something Aleigha knows all too well. There are no enchanted castles and no prince charmings who will sweep you off your feet. So when she's forced into interviewing the sexy, enigmatic, and eccentric shifter rock star, Morpheus Wolfe, at his creepy mansion out in the middle of nowhere, all Aleigha can see is the fear inside her own heart. And when circumstances trap her there, Aleigha begins a journey she never expected to take. What she doesn't know is that Morpheus has an agenda, and sometimes fairytales do come true.

Kobo: Coming soon

“Ms. Daniels has arrived.” Butler announced her as though she were a guest at a royal dinner, and Aleigha felt on display.
The man at the mixing board turned in his seat and stood up, rising to an imposing height. He was almost as tall as Butler, but nearly triple the valet’s size in sheer muscle mass. Warm brown skin stretched taut over ripples of pecs and abs peeking out beneath the mesh t-shirt he wore, and the long thin braids flowed over his shoulders and down his back. His eyes, sharp and endless, pierced her with the skill of a predator and looked her over from head to toe before meeting her gaze.
“Ms. Daniels, I’m Morpheus Wolfe.”
Aleigha’s breath caught in her throat as her eyes drifted up from the powerful leather-covered thighs, over his torso and up to the wickedly handsome face. None of the videos or concert footage had done him one bit of justice. This man wasn’t merely gorgeous; he oozed sex appeal from every pore of his body without even trying.
“They don’t call him sex on legs for nothing, that’s for sure.”
Her friend’s statement made so much sense to her now. Rock star Morpheus Wolfe was the sexiest beast alive.
He extended his hand to her, but Aleigha was lost for a moment, struck dumb by his very presence. He arched an eyebrow at her.
“Uh, yes. Hello. I’m Aleigha Daniels.” She fumbled over her greeting and finally placed her hand in his. The very instant their hands touched the electricity in the studio surged — lights and power flickered, causing the camera crew some distress. Aleigha felt unable to look away, and the slight smile that crossed his lips intrigued her.
“Looks like the storm is getting worse. We should get started.” He let go of her hand but never took his eyes off her.
“Yes, we should,” she echoed, her voice sounding breathy and far away.
Get a hold of yourself, Aleigha!
She heard the words inside her head, but it was difficult to listen when he was looking at her that way.
“So, uh … normally I would be attempting to put my interview subject at ease right now by explaining how things will go, but since we’re on your turf with your camera crew, I’m a little out of my element, I’m afraid.”
He gave another ghost of a smile as he watched her.
“Would you like me to attempt to put you at ease, Ms. Daniels?”
Aleigha blushed, turning away to hide the faint redness of her cheeks, and looked around at the crew. Was it the deep, honey-coated voice or the intense way he stared at her that made her belly quiver?

Lashell Collins is an American author of romantic suspense, paranormal romance and rockstar romance. She walks to the beat of her own drum, but that’s okay ’cause she’s got a pretty good sense of rhythm. Basically, she’s a geeky, quirky, laid-back, rocker-loving kinda girl who’s married to a retired cop, motorcycle-riding, bad-boy alpha all her own, and she likes to write about sexy police officers, werewolves and rockstars, or some inventive combination of the three! When she’s not busy tapping away on her laptop and living vicariously through her characters, she can usually be found watching Grimm, rocking out to Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, stuffing her face full of Chinese food, or riding on the back of her husband’s Harley-Davidson. Between her book characters and the ones she knows in real life, her plate stays pretty full. But she loves to hear from readers, so give her a shout sometime!

My Thoughts:

Jeseca Reed is going home for the holidays.  David Drake is a lonely man with personal demons.  But then his world is turned upside down.  This is going to be a story that will touch your heart in more ways than one.  It’s a story that grabs you before the ending of chapter two.

If you have a four-legged friend, this is a good book to cuddle with.  It had me wishing that I had a fireplace that I could sit in front of as I sat back and read this very sweet holiday story.  One recommendation – keep tissues handy just in case.  Maybe you’re getting your holiday reading list ready, this might be a book to check into.  One hint – we get a countdown to Christmas.  So during this busy time of year, if you have just a little time each day to read why not use that countdown to limit how long you read each day.  It will also help to build the anticipation as to how this story will end.

This is a book that I can see reading each year.  The author had me thinking that it was going to read like a book that she later hints to but then she takes it in a different direction.  The author shows that love can come from tragedy and pain – both physical and mental.  It definitely shows the magic of Christmas.  By the time I finished the book I thought this would be a great book to turn into a movie.  With all the holiday movies playing this time of year, I could see this fitting in very well.

Rock Star PR Presents: Bash Volume 1, The Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club by Candace Blevins; #Review

Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club
Bash, Vol 1
Author:  Candace Blevins
Rating:  3.5 Stars
Told in the first person.

Disclosure of Material Connection:  I received this book for review from RockStar PR & Literacy Agency and the author. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am posting this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising".

Warning: Lots of hot sex, a touch of BDSM, and an abundance of bad-ass werewolf bikers who are used to getting their way.

Blurb:

What do you get when you mix a bad-ass werewolf biker with a beautiful she-wolf who grew up as the MC President’s daughter?

Sparks.

Book one of the Bash trilogy…

Angelica was raised not only as a biker’s daughter, but as Bud’s daughter — the president of the Atlanta RTMC, which meant she also had dozens of ‘uncles’ who made sure she was safe, happy, loved, secure.

Needless to say, her virginity was still solidly intact when she left for college.

She goes to school up north, where no one knows she’s a biker’s daughter at heart, and thoroughly enjoys her time as a civilian. She gets rid of her pesky virginity right away, but is mostly a good girl while she buckles down to get her degree, staying at school even during the summers to take as many classes as she can fit in.

She’s a different person when she comes home with her Master’s degree, and in spite of her intention to remain a civilian, some of the bikers don’t seem so much like uncles, anymore.

My Thoughts:

Bash has an assignment that will be interesting to see how that works out.  Angelica was daddy’s little girl who liked to test her limits.  It is an addicting story because you want to see where this author is taking her characters.  At times I just wasn’t sure where that was but it didn’t stop me from wanting to see how this first volume was going to end.

Even though this does cover the paranormal – shifters and werewolves – it wasn’t all about the shifting.  I felt it was more about the Club and the politics of that Club.  Even though the title is named after the main male character, I felt that Angelica took more of the center stage.  But knowing that this is volume one, I look forward to see what our author has in store for this couple in the second volume.  At times Bash has endearing characteristics and then there are other times that you think he’s a total douchebag.

You may not be someone that’s into the shifter stories but if you like BDSM, and don’t mind those stories with pain, then you still may want to check this out.  One minor character that I’m interested to see if he shows up in volume two is Thomas.  I’m not going to say more then that because if you read this first volume, I want you to see if you feel the same.  One thing that I didn’t feel was the love and that’s another reason that I want to go to volume two.

About the Author:
Candace Blevins is a southern girl who loves to travel the world. She lives with her husband of 17 years and their two daughters. When not working or driving kids all over the place she can be found reading, writing, meditating, or swimming.

Candace writes BDSM Romance, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, and is currently writing a kick-ass Motorcycle Club series.

Her Safeword Series gives us characters who happen to have some extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work. Each book in the Safeword series highlights a couple with a different BDSM issue to resolve.

Her urban fantasy series, Only Human, gives us a world where weredragons, werewolves, werelions, three different species of vampires, as well as a variety of other mythological beings exist.

Candace's two paranormal romance series, The Chattanooga Supernaturals and The Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club, are both sister series to the Only Human series, and give some secondary characters their happily ever after.
