It was hard to believe that this is the end of The Tight End series. The beginning was painful to read. Your heart will hurt because of Kaylee’s emotions that fly off the pages. Ben’s current situation made for perfect soap opera drama. But then I came across a twist that made me wonder if it would be better as a nighttime series.
Another reason that I found it hard to believe was because the author made it very hard to like Ben in this one – couldn't even feel sorry for him. She took a big chance on doing that but it paid off in the end. I had no choice but to keep turning the page especially since I became very invested in our couple.
By the time you get to this book, you have to realize all the stories build on what came before. All the characters are important even though some of them are no more than a supporting cast. It was nice to see Ben get his lightbulb moment and realize he has what he never knew he wanted. I almost marked this down because of how Ben had me feeling but the author’s creativity won out and I got the ending that I was hoping for. The author also created a couple characters that had me wondering if I was looking at the beginning of their story – only time will tell.
