My Thoughts:
Danae “Dani” Espinoza has traveled a long way from home to escape her past. Tyler “Hero” Tobias is ex-military that belongs to an MC. Dani ends up with a very interesting roommate, Ricca. Ricca is the right woman to get Dani kicking and screaming back into the human race. What I loved about this book is that the author does a scene from the point of view of both main characters.
The story shows that violence can be a part of being in the Club. This becomes evident when Dani gets up close and personal with that violence. If you’re a person with “tender sensibilities” this may not be the book for you because there are some very graphic scenes. And to make it realistic, there is also graphic language. But it also shows that they can live somewhat normal lives as well – it’s not all about the Club.
But if you love stories with bad boys, men with tattoos, and people that are not perfect then you may want to check this book out. If you’re looking for a darker biker read then you will get that here. Be warned, the book does show how bikers treat the “mamas” of the group. This is one of those books that’s all about personal preference. Some are going to love it and some are going to hate it but only you can decide if you are willing to give this a chance. Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing where the author takes this series.
