My Thoughts:
Loved the idea of a double Prologue so no skipping – they set you up for what is to follow.
Jesse feeds an addiction that I developed from my dad. I wasn’t daddy’s little girl but it was a way for us to connect. I found it interesting that Ruby’s favorite fruit is one I hate the most. As I got to know her in the beginning, I noticed that we had a similar experience but hers ended in a totally different way from mine – plus mine happened in a different state.
Since I can’t tell which author wrote what, I find the concept of working through a list a way for anyone to get out of their comfort zone. For some of you, think of it as a bucket list of sorts – an interesting concept. I think it would be a fun thing for a couple to do – once it’s safe to do so. In this book though, it’s a great way to add in some realism. You can see the apprehension and at times them questioning themselves about what is going on. What a great way to break away from always doing things the safe way instead of exploring what life, and the world, may have in store for you. And that’s what got me hooked and until these authors completely reeled me in, I wasn’t going anywhere.
Let me tell you, I didn’t think it could get any better with having two Prologues but it does. Our authors don’t give us one Epilogue, they don’t even give us two, they step it up and give us three. So, if you’re not skipping the Prologues then there’s no way you can skip all the Epilogues. Or you’ll miss out on the perfect Jesse and Ruby ending.
