BLURB:

While my crew at West End Prep is comprised of the ridiculously attractive and wealthy, I stand apart as filthy freaking rich.

My name is Preston Castillo, and I’m the leader of the West End Prep’s Elite. With senior year about to begin, my friends and I are looking forward to doing what we do best.

Partying.
Getting girls.
Spending boatloads of cash.

I get what I want when I want it. No questions asked. Sure, I’ve been known to be cold. Heartless. Cruel. But lately, Aubrey has managed to break through my icy facade. She’s one of the few girls in my inner circle, and has been one of my closest friends since we were playdoh partners in crime in daycare.

Over the summer, we had a great time jet-setting off to Paris. But it was there I realized she wants to be more than friends. Knowing what’s at risk, I’m not ready to make a decision like this. But when fate steps in to deliver a cruel surprise, I’m left fearing there won’t be enough time to show her how much she truly means to me.

Will I whisper those three little words she wants to hear? Or will I break her heart and mine?

EXCERPT:

I survived the first week of school. I hitched a ride with Lawrence and Victoria every day. Mark headed to school by himself every morning and avoided me like the plague at home and in school. I still don’t know what’s really eating at him, but my twin superpowers tell me that he’s pissed off at my dad more than he misses him. I hear footsteps pass by my bedroom door and shout.
“Hey.”
“No,” Mark responds.
“Please?” I plead.
The doorknob turns and Mark is standing in the doorway with his shoulder resting against the doorframe.
“What?” he growls.
“I’m sorry.”
He crosses his arms against his chest, purses his lips and raises an eyebrow at me.
“Apology accepted.” He says giving me a wink. “I’m heading out. We’ll talk later, okay?”
I nod. He turns and walks out of the bedroom toward his room. My cell phone rings, and I grab it then lay on my bed.
“Hello.” I greet, placing the call on speakerphone.
“Hey, Bree, are you meeting us for brunch?” Addie asks.
“Oh, hey, Addie, yes. Where are we meeting?”
“Victoria said we’re meeting at The Blueridge Grill.”
“Got it. What time?”
“Eleven.”
“I only have an hour to get ready.”
“Tiffany insists that you dress to impress. There are always some cuties hanging out there.”
I huff and shake my head. Addie is talking about married men with wives and their children. Addie, real name Addison, is my dazzling redheaded bestie, with sky blue eyes that light up the night sky. She’s never dated a guy in our high school and only lusts after married men. She’s an old soul and loves eighties music. She refuses to let me give myself to just any guy at West End Prep. Yes. I’m a virgin. Our conversations over the phone at night are about setting up a website to sell my virginity to the highest bidder. She’s definitely not all together, but she’s a really smart businessperson. She has men lined up for me. I’m not thrilled about her moral convictions, but she wouldn’t hurt a fly.
“It’s brunch, Addie and, um, that’s your territory. Addie?”
“Yeah?”
“Can we talk for a minute, you know, like on a serious note?”
“Sure. What’s wrong?”
“You know I’m here for you if you ever need me, right? I mean, I get really nervous when you talk about all these men you’ve been with. I’m scared for you. I worry.”
“You don’t have to worry. If my mother doesn’t worry, why should you?”
“That’s just it, Addie, your mother’s not doing her job. I want to be there for you, but I just don’t know how. I’m really afraid someone’s wife is going to hurt you.”
“I’ve had to fight off my mother’s boyfriends for years. Don’t worry so much, okay?”
“No, it’s not okay. I don’t want you to get hurt. Promise me you’ll stop dating older men and at least try to date some guys your own age.”
“Where is this coming from? Are you jealous?”
“Addie, don’t,” I clip. “Don’t do that. We’re friends and I love you.”
“Well, then I’m lucky someone loves me. Just look cute, okay? Try it. You might like it,” she insists.
Her voice cracks and my heart breaks. I change the subject to avoid hurting her feelings any more than I probably already have.
“Me? I always look impeccably cute, but you, I’m worried about you, you know that, right?”
Addie chuckles nervously.
“Yes, I know, but I’m smart, Bree. No-strings attached, gifts and money and I don’t have to give my heart to anyone. Can’t beat that.”
“You have your own money. You don’t need anything from those married men.”
“I need peace of mind. I don’t get it at home, Bree. I’m ignored by my mother and chased by her boyfriends.” There is silence on the other end of the phone. I can hear her exhale and that’s my cue to stop talking. “Are you coming or not?”
“I’ll be there.” I end the call and throw my cell phone on the bed.
Now…to find something to wear is another story. I rummage through my closet, placing my fingers along each velvet hanger trying to find something to wear. I place my finger on a short, red maxi dress. Grabbing it, I place it on the hook on the back of my bedroom door. I smile for a moment and remember the red bathing suit I wore at the beach in Paris.
My toes were nestled in the warm sand as tiny pebbles slid in between them. Pres was in the water with the guys horsing around, making a fool out of himself. He jumped on Lawrence’s back, then lifted his hand in the air and waved at me. I give him a half smile and he jumped off Lawrence’s back and ran toward me.
“Hey, are you okay?” he asks.
“Yeah. Are you having fun?”
His lips curved into a warm smile, then he scanned my body with his eyes.
“What are you doing?” I asked incredulously.
“I like red. It’s my favorite color, especially when it’s wrapped around your body.”
“Oh really?” I said flirtatiously. He leaned in, then grabbed me by the waist, lifted me up into his arms and ran toward the water. “Pres, no!” I screamed wrapping my legs around his waist. “Please…” I begged. He stopped right at the edge of the water.
“If I let you go, will you get in the water with me?”
My eyes grew wide. He placed me down and glanced up at me. He knew I was about to run like hell. My instincts kicked in and I turned and ran away. He chased after me and I laughed until he grabbed me by the waist again, lifted me and tossed me into the water with him. We laughed like we did when we used to play hide and seek in Central Park West.
My pulse races just thinking about him. I sit on the edge of my bed for a moment remembering our time together. Now, it’s back to basics, just friends, part of the crew, even though, it’s not what I want. He has an agenda this year and I’m not part of it. He didn’t even message me once when we got back from Paris. I was just Bree to him again and I guess that’s all I’ll ever be.

Release date: Nov 20
Will be part of Kindle Unlimited

Book description:

He’s on the hunt for a fresh start. She’s trapped in a nightmare she can’t escape. Can love help them make a break for freedom?

Michael:

The money was supposed to save me...until it got me shot. You don’t steal from Marlo Sloan.

But it led me to her.

Annie’s kind. She’s fierce. She’s making me want to be the man my grandpa believed I could be. A Barrett - strong, dependable. A hero.

Danger is coming. It’s inevitable.

I should split before it catches up with me.

But how can I leave Annie and her little brother with their psycho father?

I want to steal her away from this nightmare. Take her to the ranch where I know she’d be safe. But I’m a runaway thief, and the ranch is no doubt a desolate wreck.

She deserves better than that.

I have to tell her the truth. Which means she’ll never look at me the same again. I could lose her over this, when all I want to do is keep her safe.

Grandpa always said, “Barrett boys do the right thing. They don’t cut and run. They stand. They fight to protect the ones they love.”

I was raised to be a Barrett boy.

It’s time I start acting like one.

The Runaway is the first book in a thrilling YA romance series. If you like fast-paced action, redeemable bad boys and romance that will steal your heart, then you’ll love Jordan Ford’s compelling novel.

MICHAEL:

“If I find you…” Dean’s slurred shouts trail off. “Or maybe I should go wake up your brother. He could use a good pounding. I warned you! I told you what would happen!”

Jackson starts to cry, but then the sound gets muffled. He must be bawling into Annie’s chest or something.

“I’m not gonna let him touch you,” she whispers, her voice fierce and unwavering. “He’s never gonna touch you.”

I love her.

The emotion swells so big inside of me, I nearly can’t speak.

Brushing my lips across her forehead, I lean my cheek against her and promise the same. “I’m not gonna let him touch you either. Never again.”

Her head shifts against mine and I can sense her staring at me. Although we can’t see each other very clearly, I can tell we’re looking into each other’s eyes.

“You believe me?” I whisper.

She doesn’t answer right away, but then her soft voice does me in, filling me with a protective energy that I have never felt so strongly before. “Yes. I believe you.”

ANNIE:

“You’re lookin’ a little loved up there, Annie Bird.”

I try to squash my grin, but it doesn’t work.

Franks giggles and nudges my shoulder, tipping me over.

I right myself with a giggle.

“Well, are you?”

“I don’t know.” I shrug. “I mean, I’m still getting to know him. When did you know you were in love with Billy?”

“By our second date.”

“Your second date?” My voice pitches with surprise. “But that’s so fast.”

“I didn’t tell him right away. I just knew it in my heart. And then he just kept proving himself over and over again. He fills in all my spaces, Annie.”

I wrinkle my nose. “Do I even want to know what that means?”

She laughs and shuffles around on the blanket so she can face me.

“You know what I think when I see you two?” She grabs another three grapes, playing with them in her hand.

Sucking the sweetness out of my apple, I look at her, wondering if I even want to ask.

But her big eyes are begging me, and so I say, “What?”

“He’s dusk. You’re dawn.”

“What does that mean?”

“Well, you know. He’s quiet and brooding like a night sky, and you’re a ray of sunshine, lighting up the day.”

My gut sinks and I toss my apple into the bush behind us. “So, you’re saying we’re opposites. We shouldn’t be together?”

“Uh, no! Of course you should be together. Don’t you get it? You’re a circle. Dusk til dawn, dawn til dusk. The day can’t function any other way. All the things he doesn’t have, you’ve got and vice versa. You make a whole. A complete circle. Together.” She drops the grapes in her lap and threads her fingers to make a ball with her hands. “He fills in all your spaces. See what I mean?”

The fifth book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Field Party series—a southern soap opera with football, cute boys, and pick-up trucks—from USA TODAY bestselling author Abbi Glines.
Ryker Lee is finally enjoying his senior year—he has great friends, hangs out with hot girls, and is on track to get a football scholarship that will set him up for college. Despite this, a small part of him wonders if there’s more to life than parties and meaningless hookups—and if football even means as much to him as it does to his fellow teammates. And when he meets the new girl at school, his world totally changes…
Aurora McClay is new to Lawton. She’s grateful that her twin brother, Hunter, is star of the football team and can help her adjust to her new school, but she’s notgrateful at how overprotective he is over every person she meets. Just because she is deaf does not mean people have to treat her differently. When she meets Ryker Lee, the two of them spark an instant and intense chemistry, one that proves to be controversial not only because of Ryker’s reputation as a player, but also because of Aurora and Hunter’s father’s bigoted views about who Aurora can and can’t date.
Aurora and Ryker know in their hearts that they are meant for each other. But can their relationship endure the turmoil of rumors and prejudice?

InkSlinger PR Presents Bare by Sarah Robinson; #ReleaseBlitz, #NowAvailable, #OutNow, #Live, #Giveaway

Today we have the release blitz for Sarah Robinson’s BARE! Check it out and grab your copy today!

Title: BARE: A Hollywood Romance
Author: Sarah Robinson
Series: Exposed, Book 2
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Standalone

About BARE:

Following the popular series debut—NUDES was praised as “passionate, emotional and uplifting” by #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Lauren Blakely—contemporary romance author Sarah Robinson weaves a new standalone story where a second chance at romance is found on a Hollywood film set and secrets always have a way of being…exposed.

Reed Scott is the hottest actor in LA…

Being a Hollywood heartthrob has its perks, and I’ve damn sure enjoyed every one of them, both on and off the silver screen. The tabloids loved every second of exploiting my privacy, chronicling my mistakes in ink for the whole world to see. Accepting the lead role in a romantic dance film was guaranteed to make me a box office hit and help me rewrite my image, until the choreographer hired to train me turned out to be the only woman I’d ever loved and lost.

As beautiful and enticing as ever, Tegan walks in and reminds me of the worst mistake I’ve ever made. She should hate me, and now she has the power to destroy everything I am.

Tegan Reynolds is picking up the pieces…

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…never going to happen. I fell in love with Reed Scott once and it nearly killed me—literally. The last thing I want to do now is teach him how to dance, but I need this job and there’s no way I’m letting him take yet another thing away from me.

Reed is in my world now, and this time we’re dancing by my rules.

Exclusive Excerpt:

Am I cursed? Teagan stared at herself in the mirror of her small apartment bathroom. She felt cursed. Reed-Scott-freaking-cursed.

Life certainly hadn't handed her the easiest go, and now, just when she'd thought things were finally turning around because she'd landed a fantastic job as a film choreographer, fate was still proving it had other plans for her. This job was supposed to be her big break—well, break-ish. Sure, it wasn’t what she'd wanted out of her life, but her dreams were no longer an option.

And this job? Most people would kill for it. So, she was choosing to be grateful.

She had to choose to be grateful a lot, actually. If she didn't, then life would have gotten the better of her years ago. Teagan glanced down at her legs, tracing a finger across the long scar that stretched from her knee to her hip. She tried to hide it under leggings and skirts, but it wasn’t always possible.

When she'd almost died in a car accident at the age of twenty-one, she'd thought she'd never walk again. Hell, the doctors had told her exactly that. And dancing? That was an impossibility.

The years and years she'd spent training to become a professional dancer had all been wiped away in less time than it took for that car to slam hers into a ditch. Despite the doctor's predictions that her wheelchair would become a permanent fixture, though, she'd proved them all wrong. She'd spent years learning to walk, and then dance, again. Sure, she'd probably never have the agility to become the famous dancer she'd always dreamed of being, but she could at least teach. And with that, she'd found a way to keep doing what she loved…even if it was not exactly what she loved.

So, she chose to be grateful.

But seeing Reed Scott again? The man who made her believe in everlasting, soul-deep, earth shattering love and then left her standing alone at the altar on their wedding day? The man who had left her just to star in a movie that would make him famous?

She was not grateful for that—or for him—one bit.

Teagan finished putting on the last touches of her makeup then changed into a new pair of leggings and a leotard. Glancing one last time in the mirror, she fluffed out her wavy brown hair nervously. As much as she might hate him, she found herself wanting to look her best for him anyway. Make him eat his heart out. Make him regret ever leaving her like that in the first place.

She swallowed, trying to push away her frustration. That didn’t seem possible right now, though. Sighing, Teagan grabbed her car keys off the small table by her front door and gave one last glance around the small Los Angeles apartment she called home. Benson, her incredibly fat tabby cat, was lounging on the windowsill, lazily yawning and watching her. "Bye, Benson. Be good."

He didn't even blink at her. He'd probably still be lying in that exact same spot when she came home later.

Teagan blew him a kiss then headed out, locking her front door carefully behind her. Within a few minutes, she was behind the wheel of her car and heading toward the studio. It was still dark outside, but she didn't mind one bit. She enjoyed early mornings when the world was quiet and the roads were clearer. Driving was still something that made her a little tense after her car accident, and traffic in Los Angeles was always horrendous. But, at five o’clock in the morning, it was a lot more manageable and didn't make her feel so…terrified.

Luckily, her commute was short and she arrived on set twenty minutes later. She headed straight to the studio where she'd told Reed to meet her, but he wasn't there yet, which she'd expected since she was a bit early. Placing her dance bag on the shelf to one side of the studio, she pulled out her heel dancer shoes with a cute buckle T-strap over the top of her foot and put them on. She pulled on a loose fitting, light sweater over her leotard for some coverage, since it reached almost to the bottom of her ass.

Next, she began to shimmy out of her leggings, since she was able to work a lot better in her leotard without restriction to her legs. She got down to her knees before she realized that being bare legged would reveal the scar on her leg. Quickly, she slid them back up her legs.

"Shit."

Teagan whirled around, looking for the person who'd just broken the silence around her.

Reed Scott. Of course.

"You scared the crap out of me," she told him, grateful that he hadn’t been able to see her scar from where he was standing for the brief moment her leggings had been down.

"Sorry," he replied, clearly making an effort to look anywhere but at her. "I didn't know you'd be…uh, I mean, I wasn't expecting…"

She rolled her eyes. Actors were so dramatic. "I'm not getting naked, Reed. I was just, uh, putting on my leggings to dance."

"Sure. Right. Yeah." He was rambling, clutching the gym bag over his shoulder. "So, time to get started?"

"Yep. Put your stuff on the shelf and we'll get started," she instructed, doing her best to ignore the butterflies fluttering in her stomach at the very sight of him. Fuck, he looked even better than he'd looked the last time she'd seen him. Tall, broad shoulders, olive skin under thick black hair with a scruffy beard she remembered was very soft. And those eyes…God, the way those light green eyes pierced through her.

He stood you up at the altar, she reminded herself. For a damn movie.

"Sure." He headed toward her and placed his bag on the shelf. "What are we practicing today?"

"It's a pretty short routine today, actually. It shouldn't take us too long." Though she doubted he'd be the quickest learner after his warning yesterday. "Ready?"

He turned around to look at her, his eyes trailing down her body in a way that made her heart pound faster and faster. Suddenly his gaze stopped, pausing on her legs.

Her heart pounded, terrified he could see through her thin leggings to the bump of her scar. But he said nothing, and his gaze kept traveling. She was safe.

Honestly, she was a little surprised he didn't already know about her accident. It hadn’t been a secret. Everyone in her life knew, and she'd certainly expected someone to pass along the message. Or for him to check in, even once.

She'd waited for him in the hospital, expecting him to come. Expecting him to apologize. Expecting him to beg her forgiveness, realize what an idiot he had been and take her back, care for her, return her to health with his love and affection.

That hadn't really worked out.

Finally, his eyes returned to his face, and his tongue slid across his bottom lip. “You look…damn, Teag. You look amazing.”

"Listen, Reed," she began, setting her jaw and sticking out her chin. "We work together. That's it. You don't get to look at me like that anymore."

Reed looked startled, taken aback at her abruptness. Then the saddest look she'd ever seen passed over his face. "You're right. I'm sorry."

"Let's get started." She moved to the center of the studio. "I'll show you today's sequence, and then we'll go through it step by step. Okay?"

He nodded, but said nothing.

Carefully, she posed herself in the center of the room with her toes pointed and her arms around her waist. In one slick move, she sidestepped and kicked one leg out to her left, flipping her hair with the motion. She then tucked her foot, her knee pointed out horizontally from her body and spun in a circle.

On her second spin around, she kicked up high, like an incredibly tall karate kick. When her foot touched back down on the ground, she lunged to the right and threw her arms out, tossing back her head with the motion. She curved her spine outwards, pulling her stomach in as she moved her arms in a circular motion toward herself.

She twirled then, spinning on the tips of her toes while keeping her eyes on one stationary spot so she didn't get dizzy. After her fourth spin, she shoved her arms down by her sides and lifted her chin. With that, she spun back in the direction she’d just come from and leaped multiple times across the room with her arms out and her fingers pointed.

Finally, she came down on one foot and spun in several circles before coming to a stop in front of Reed. "Annnnnd, that's it."

"Shit, that looked complicated as hell," he admitted. "Though you looked incredible doing it."

She ignored his compliment. Or, rather, she tried. Admittedly, her heart pounded a little harder. But, that was being ignored for now. "Let's go over the first step." She repeated the side steps and kicking her leg to the left. "Just like that. Let's see what you can do."

Reed followed in her footsteps, and honestly, it wasn't terrible. It wasn't great either. "Like that?"

"Close," she admitted. "Let's go through it again."

Entangled Publishing Presents: Teen Balloon Pop Booth; #EPSummerCarnival, #Giveaway

Welcome to the Entangled TEEN Balloon Pop Booth! Entangled TEEN is all about the excitement of first love, so we are talking about all of the reasons a summer carnival makes a good date! Pintip Dunn, Vivi Barnes, Heidi R. Kling, and Gloria Craw are here to share their reasons and we would love to hear some of your carnival date stories. So be sure to leave a comment and don’t forget to enter the giveaway below!

OMG, I think one of my first dates ever was at a summer carnival! Why does it make a good date? Because it is fun, thrilling, playful, giddy, and romantic! You get to be a kid again as you scream on rides that smash you up against your date. Feel that rush of excitement when your hoop lands on the bottle and you win a gigantic stuffed animal. Taste the sticky sweetness of cotton candy on your date's lips. Best of all, you form memories that you still remember fondly 20 years later!

No other date can measure up to the excitement and… opportunities…of a carnival. Where else can you legitimately be smashed up against the cute guy without having to apologize for being in his space? Or be lifted a couple hundred feet in the air for a few peaceful minutes of conversation with zero possibilities of someone butting in? Or be given the opportunity to win a huge stuffed monkey that you know you must have, whether or not you really do. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll receive that special kiss you’ll remember far longer than that ugly orange monkey.

Hot. Summer, Night. Well, that's enough right there for romance to spark, but add some sticky cotton candy, popcorn, rides that push you into your partner instead of further apart, and if you're lucky? A moonlit kiss on a Ferris Wheel. Only thing missing from Paige and Jake's summer in Jackson Hole was the town carnival. Why didn't I think of that? Maybe in the sequel.

Carnivals are all about roller-coasters, so we can get some quality handholding-time in as we scream on the way down. Our guy might show off his man-skills and win a stuffed animal, and the food can be amazing. The best thing about a carnival date, though, is we’re going to get windblown hair, he might choose the scary, stuffed clown prize, and there’s a chance someone will spill Slurpee on their jeans. I think when the fun gets chaotic, we let our guard down and that’s when we really get to know someone.
