You know when you see a title with Part II not to start here. To truly understand who Maddox and Marcella are to each other and the Familia read/listen to this book second. If you like to listen to your books, you can never go wrong with Mr. Ross & Ms. Kennicott. They are just two of my go to narrators. They gave me plenty of moving pictures to play out in my mind.
I thought this book would tie up a lot of loose ends that became apparent in part one. The action increases, the heat between the main characters increases, and we have lots of ups and downs. There were moments of laughter and moments when I wasn’t sure that this couple would end up together. It was all that and more that held my attention and made it difficult to shut my iPod off. If you know what Passionflix is, then you might want to see this as one of their movies, as long as they stay true to our main characters and la Familia. And since there’s book three will it continue where this book ended or will it just hook me in further.
This is one series that I will happily have in both the print and audio versions. I will probably listen to the book first since I enjoyed the first two of the series. Plus, I want to see where this author is going to take her characters next. What I like about the author is that she doesn’t try to romanticize Marcella’s extended family. That’s something to think about if you are sensitive about certain things.
