My Thoughts:
Lake may seem like she’s got her life in order but there seems to be one thing holding her back. Nick seems to be pleased with how things are going in his life at the moment. Our author does a great job at giving her readers some serious moments, some steamy moments, and even some laughable moments.
This will be a series that you will want to read in order. Lake was introduced to the reader in Bittersweet Promises (and if you read the author’s note, you’ll realize something else). Some characters in book one of the series will also make appearances here. And these characters are related to the characters found in the original Montgomery Ink series.
If you’re looking for a woman who doesn’t mind taking on the boss roll, then come and see what Lake has to offer. Nick was there when Lake needed a strong pair of shoulders to lean on. But can they learn to be just more than friends. Our author is good at both surprises and shockers and the ending has both. It also means that I need to prepare for the next book in the series because I just can’t stop now.
