Erica “Ricca” Delmont has a very urgent matter to attend to. Ratchet has decided to go after what he wants. This story may act as a reminder that not everyone has a happy home life or childhood – not everyone should be a parent. It also shows how broken “the system” is.

There was one scene where I felt his heart was in the right place but it was just a little misplaced. But for me this was one thing that made him endearing. Make no mistake he’s still rough around the edges and will do what he has to in order to protect.

I found it interesting that at the point where the author should have been winding things down, and that’s where my mind was going, she put in a curveball. Who doesn’t love an author that will do the unexpected – something that keeps your mind on what you’re reading. Don’t be shy to read this series out of order but in order to know what this MC is about at some point you’ll have to check out what you’ve missed. Especially when we have and ending that seemed more like a beginning.
