The author has written a note to her readers that you need to pay attention to. 

 

Pony Boy decides one day that he needs to make a change in his life. Brooke is not happy with her life right now. These are two people that show you can have a job that is also your passion. 

 

This is a story that combines two genres. Pony Boy will give you the MC side of the story. Brooke has connections to the Mafia side. If you like some action in your story, you will get that as well. Characters from the first book make an appearance here. Unlike some of the RBMC stories, theirs isn’t contained in one book. So, if you like this book make sure to watch out for the author's new project. For me, if it’s a story I like then I must know the outcome.

But he has a strong sense of right and wrong and, even when faced with danger and the threat of death, he cannot help but continue his pursuit of justice. He is very loyal, especially where his friend are concerned. The novel moves between traumatic childhood events, which involved him and his friends, and their consequences in adult life. It is a tense, suspense-filled narrative but there is a lot of humour in the book too, which occurs as he reflects upon the gap between his natural antipathy to conflict and the menacing events he is caught up in.

The man strolls down the gravel driveway to his makeshift torture trap disguised as a late model Chevy Suburban. The man opens the creaky back doors of the Suburban and takes out two white five gallon buckets setting them down on the trash littered street. The back of the vehicle is cluttered with miscellaneous tools and paint supplies that a painting contractor would most likely use. Upon closer inspection, deeper inside the cargo area, there are handcuffs and shackles fixed to stationary hooks reminiscent of medieval torture chambers. The windows are coated with a thin opaque vinyl that ensures complete privacy.
